I actually really enjoyed Blur, probably because I was a mega-fan but yeah. When Phil Daniels came on for "Park Life" it made my night. Yeah Damon wasn't spot on tonight but I still enjoyed it, the energy was there.

Did anyone see Holly Willoughby and Alan Carr rocking out to them aswell?

Positives - Lana winning, Florence's, Noel's and Rihanna's performances, the man who walked in front of Corden like "bitch, pls" HA.

Negatives - ONE DIRECTION WINNING! Emeli Sande having no speech and Ed Sheeran clogging up the night.

Lana, Adele, Coldplay

Very happy for Lana, I think she really deserved it. Best Int. Female next year? Highly doubt it! But she's doing so well  Brit Award less than a month after her debut album hit the UK, amazing.

Jordan. 22-02-2012 08:35 AM

Highlights were Lana winning and Noel/Florences performances. The rest was awful. James Corden needs to **** off and never be on tv again and One Direction winning was just a disgrace.

Shaun 22-02-2012 11:40 AM

Positives: BLUR. BLUR BLUR BLUR. Lana winning. Florence + Noel performing.

Negatives: How safe the winners all were. How dead the crowd's responses to genuinely talented and masterful artists like PJ Harvey and Kate Bush were. The choice of presenters (Cesc Fabregas!? Really!?). Ed Sheeran being rewarded for his diarrhoea music. Rihanna being rewarded for being a terrible role model and having a poor album. Adele's voice.

This :bored: Bon's response was ridic, considering they screamed like a bitch for Nicki.

King Gizzard 22-02-2012 01:59 PM

Just watched the ending to see Lana/Adele get mad and Blurs performance

Thought Blur were brilliant. Damon is alright like that, not giving a toss..didn't see what the fuss was about...Tender

and Graham Coxon never ages it's weird

Yes Stick your Finger Up

Get some better songs

Marsh. 22-02-2012 03:14 PM

Say what you want about Adele but at least she makes proper music rather than miming to backing tracks.

But, when she performed she seemed distracted. The way she was looking into the audience was almost like she was looking for someone, her mind was elsewhere.

Same here! Nostalgia

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 22-02-2012 03:17 PM

why did she do rolling in the deep ffs :nono:

Marsh. 22-02-2012 03:28 PM

I know. I would have thought having clocked up as many sales as she has and had the success she has they she'd have more freedom to sing lesser known songs from the album rather than have to plug the same 2 singles from months ago.
I wouldn't have minded hearing Rumour Has It live.

robb 22-02-2012 04:44 PM

Positives: Adele. Nit pick all u like, but the gal has real talent. And at least she sings live, throat op affected or not (more like nerves IMO).
Negatives: ADELE'S FINGER SALUTE (though I can see why she was bloody annoyed). The fawning Corden, who should have shut Albarn down after what seemed like a speech as looooong as they performed on ITV2. I LOST INTEREST IN THEM AFTER PARKLIFE AND SONG2. If only all their songs were that short. Albarn's 'notes' were a joke.
Oh, and One Dimension winning with one of the WORST singles of the year. And the 'suits'. lol.

Exactly, 21 has sold so well that loads of people would recognise it, and if not, they'd buy it after (and possibly the album). Singing the same songs again just pisses people off as it's always on the radio so it's not going to encourage many more sales.

Personally I'd want to hear He Won't Go/Take It All/One & Only as they're my 3 faves from 21 but I know full well she wouldn't do those.

CharlieO 22-02-2012 04:58 PM

Lana winning and her acceptance speech

I loved the awkwardness and ambiguity of the speech.

InOne 22-02-2012 04:58 PM

Was that Emeli meant to have an acceptance speech? I noticed they cut to like 3 seconds of her looking a bit confused then went straight to Jessie J. I'm starting to find Jessie J terribly overrated as well.

Marsh. 22-02-2012 05:06 PM

Why did Emeli not go up to receive her award?

They obviously wanted to hear Jessie J instead :bored:

Marsh. 22-02-2012 05:11 PM

I thought the whole show was so amateur compared to the Grammy's.

Like that Olly Murs performance. I thought he was a decent singer but his vocals were awful and he's gotten very arrogant saying he should have been nommed for Male Solo Artist. He's a long way off that yet.

InOne 22-02-2012 05:15 PM

Olly Murs is horrific, I cringe whenever he is performing.

Ellie Goulding accepting her critic award killed off the speeches in that category.

Saph 22-02-2012 06:32 PM

I'd rather have listened to Adele's speech for 10 minutes than have to listen to Britain being humiliated by Blur and their god awful singing.

Brother Leon 22-02-2012 07:33 PM

Presenter: Who would you give a Brit to tonight out of the people nominated?

Ed: Wretch.

*awkward*

Well done. He's not too bad then

King Gizzard 22-02-2012 07:46 PM

were people really expecting some tenor voice from Damon? There really isn't that much difference to how they normally sound..they're meant to sound like they don't give a toss

Tender/The ITV2 stuff got noticably better
