No, it's the victim of choosing some pretty shit housemates, regardless of colour. The majority you've listed were booed/evicted for multiple reasons

Of course not, but plenty of housemates do not deserve chants (and BB11 was where the pointless chanting for anyone kinda started to show itself more)

I really do think this is all nonsense.

For years we have been told that sexism is afoot because women always leave first. But the majority of voters are female so how can that work???

Many white people have been evicted "unfairly" and if you put them all in a big list like the OP then you could argue it is racism against whites.

:clap1: you can find racism everywhere and against every colour if you look hard enough

swinearefine 25-07-2015 08:17 PM

lol there are people who don't know BBUK is racist? Always has been, always will be if the viewers don't address it. It's not specific to BBUK, it's western culture as a whole that is racist, and that racism permeates everything... especially BBUK.

Why didn't racism permeate the series where a very black, black man won?

You can't cast off everything in the OP and the fact that every girl of colour in the Channel 5 era has been slaughtered in one form or another just because Brian won in 2007, a racial conscience year for the BBUK franchise

"i'm not racist, i have a black friend!"

Macie Lightfoot 25-07-2015 08:47 PM

Having a single black winner doesn't mean that the show isn't predominantly racist lmfao this isn't all or nothing.

yeah the editors/audience didn't have time to hate Brian, they were too busy hating the women of color that year (Charley, Nicky, Shabnam)

I think if anything it's plagued by sexism rather than racism

White people have only won 15 out of 16 series :(

Jason. 25-07-2015 09:06 PM

Not to mention the first and only Asian and Black winners in BB/CBB happened to win the series which both aired in 2007 - which is also the year of racial misconduct within BBUK.

Doesn't seem to be anything statistically significant about that.

The vast majority of this country are white and the vast majority of contestants on BB are white.

Some of the most popular contestants haven't been white either. Narinder was very popular. Alison was very popular and has now forged a 13 year TV career out of her time in the house.

In BB5 Victor and Ahmed were hugely popular.

Alison left week 2 over 2 white men?

And Ahmed was truly hated plus Victor got one of the first ever eviction chants

susie q 25-07-2015 09:18 PM

Ageism, is equally prevalent in BB. There hasnt been that many House mates over the age of 40 in the normal BBs, and even less in the channel 5 years. Eileen being nominated for her age was ludicrous, especially as she was shaping up to be an entertaining house Yet CBB has a lot of 40 plus who have proved entertaining have gone on to win.

She was the biggest character. They always leave in a vote to evict.

Ahmed wasn't hated. The jungle cats were loved.

Victor would have won the show if it weren't for the unfortunate incident where he called shell a ****.
