CBB5 was great until Jade and her family marched in and ruined the entire thing. :hmph:

I don't know why they did that. The cast they had originally was great.

I wasn't a massive fan of the original CBB5 cast, before Jade entered. I remember saying to myself after the launch, "This cast is not as good as last years (CBB4) or the year before (CBB3)".

But, no doubt it would've been better if Jade hadn't entered. I also think the mistake they made is adding the irrelevant drags Jackiey and Jack Tweed. If they were planning to put Jade Goody back in. Why not just put her in alone?
The other two weren't celebrities and were pointless additions to the house.

I still think CBB5 would've been inferior to CBB3 and CBB4 had Jade Goody not entered and the whole race row thing didn't happen. I found the cast quite boring at times. And no doubt CBB5 would've averaged lower had the race row not happened. I think by the first four days of CBB5, the ratings fell to 2.8m or something. It was the race row controversy that gave the series the high viewing figures. I think without that, CBB5 would've averaged 4.2m or something.

Yas, but there's no doubt that Jade and the media circus that followed her brought in viewers and the tabloid u-turn on her helped increase her popularity

It's the awful production that ruined BB8. I like BB8 as a series, but it's awful in the last few weeks, particularly when Charley is evicted. Frankly it was never going to get over 4.6m or the same ratings as the golden era series, because like I said CBB5 did put a lot of people from watching. But this series still had the hype that BB5-BB7 all had. It was just a disappointment the way things were executed that it lowered the ratings even further, when it could've averaged over 4m.
Of course cbb5 caused the downfall off bb, it put viewers off and channel 4 wasn't interested in bb anymore, there heart had gone out of it because it now stood against everything c4 stood for, the "golden era" would off lasted till around 2008 had cbb5 not killed it early.

I don't think so given how CBB5 tarnished her reputation. I doubt C4/C5 will want anything to do with her after that. Maybe she would've been involved in 2010 with the UBB stuff etc, I'm not sure.
