I'm quite shocked that the idols are still replanted after being played. I thought that because there's so many idols in recent seasons they' only give one per tribe, and that's it for the season.

I agree, but I also think having the HII constantly thrown back in the game is kinda boring too? IDK, I just don't get The Hype about HIIs to begin with.

Also, how boring and repetitive are the scenes where someone finds one? It's the same thing literally every season. Not to mention that it hijacks an entire scene that could have gone to better footage like a pig hunt, thank you very much adam...

Yeah, I like idols when they're predictably played. Like, I never would have thought David would play his idol on jessica before he suggested so.

I could definitely take a season without idols in play, too.

Oh yeah... but the thing is ... Survivor is gonna do it so as a contestant...why not use it?? I have always hate this development in Survivor... and how production thinks more is better in twists and idols. but if I were a player... I would use it to my advantage

'Figgy' (what an awful nickname! Sounds like a Made in Chelsea kinda' name.) is such a physically beautiful girl but wow!!!!...........i just cannot stand her overbearing personality!!!!:rant:

She comes across as so completely unaware of how to get on with others (apart from guys who she's attracted to) and seems like she's so pushy and spoilt. Even after being told about the mistakes she was making she appears to have done nothing to rein herself in. She still pushes her way into any leading position in comps and then doesn't usually perform particularly well in them!

I think she's just one of those people who, rather than listening to advice about her behaviour and acting on it, just finds it so ridiculous that she could possibly be anything less than 100% correct and perfect that she just dismisses it and carries on being an absolute twat!!!!

I'm guessing (but i could be wrong) that she has wealthy parents who give her everything she ever asks for and have convinced her that she's better than everyone else and have never said 'NO' to her in her life. She was probably head bitch in her gang of mean girls in her super-expensive private school too.

As i said, i could be completely wrong about that but even if i am that's how she comes across which isn't a good thing. But then i suppose outside of situations like being on Survivor she can probably just stay within the company of the kind of people she's used to having been around for all of her life so far and she'll never need to be made aware of her foul personality!

I don't think it's bad, just kinda uninspiring and vanilla? It's the biggest example of "well this is a season of Survivor" since Blood vs. Water, at least four episodes in.

Oh, definitely, but I feel like there are plenty of things at fault before the cast itself (the editing, the theme, the way the Gen X tribe are absolutely useless as a unit, Jeff in general, Australian Survivor existing) - on their own, there are plenty of potentially really interesting people; they're just not being used well

Especially when you imagine just how nightmarish the cast of a modern Survivor season named "Millennials vs. Gen X" could possibly be

For me I think the only real problem with this season so far is that the gen xrs are a little bland and they keep going to tribal council so they get more air time then the Millennials do. That should change soon with the tribe swap so I am not too worried about the season.
