Agree, not so long ago the much missed Kirk was doing this and left due to constant belittling, be careful what you wish for is a good adage to fall back on, on this occasion, if posters are weary of another poster I really don't know why they can't just ignore them, seems simple enough to me.

Non PC in your world though just seems to equal racist. So you want to be free to say racist stuff without being called out on it? That doesn't seem very balanced to me. Why shouldn't people be allowed say they think your views are racist, why is "PC" only a one way street?

Whether I agree or disagree with this is not the point though, the point is it seems very hypocritical to come online to accuse people of ganging up when that's exactly what they're also doing

I rest my case ,insult me all you like,I know what I see,brillo has never from what I have seen been obnoxious or insulting to anyone,how she keeps her restraint I dont know,she's a better woman than I,plus did anyone mention you ? , no one has crawled out from the woodwork,I just am not on here 24/7,I have a life, but I have seen enough to see that some people are overly harsh on brillo.

People generally started using PC in response to the constant racist goading by some posters on here. People aren't saints - what do you expect. Do you believe it is ok to for people to call people racist but not ok for others to respond with PC terminology. Can't have it both ways.

tbf though a lot of the people commenting in Brillo's threads say they are sick of her threads, so I don't get why they comment, and they don't just comment once, they go on and on and on...duracell bunny style :laugh:

I know that Niamh,but is there any need for some people to be so harsh saying everyone is weary of her posts? I for one think she has been an asset to this forum, and I would debate on her posts more but someone always gets nasty,so it puts me off,but sometimes I just have to comment,there is no need.imo.

I agree Kaz. God forbid anyone should not be a Corbyn supporter, or at least on the Left. Look at all those who are not left-leaning who have found it necessary to leave this place. I have lost three friends on this forum because they obviously cannot be friends with someone who is not of the same political persuasion as they are - luckily that's not the case actually in parliament. It's supposed to be about debate. It USED to be about debate. Not it's about smart-arse comments and ganging up, and all the denials in the world isn't going to change that when the evidence is there. The hostility is palpable on here now. And what a waste of time it would be to report anyone.

Anyhoo... I too am not on here a lot anymore. I prefer the company of adults and there are far fewer here than there used to be. Everyone's always right on this forum so what's the point of debating with anyone?

If you are referring to Sam that not who Im talking about, Im talking about the dozens of fun ,nice posters including Sam ...... not that Sam is not fun and nice, he's a lovely ,funny man who no one had the sense of humour to understand,and because he is also a very intelligent man didn't bode well on here, and as the gang knew he could eat them up and spit them out in a heartbeat, and they hated that ,they love to have the reins, they love to belittle and abuse people who don't fall at their feet, this is why so many people have left, of their own accord,not hounded out as Sam was ,Yes Sam went to far ,no one knows that more than him,but he's a strong,proud man who little men/women tried to belittle, but Sam is made of better stuff, he wouldn't stand for it ,so in the end he was removed ,but he's never been happier away from it all ,he's got an amazing family he doesn't need praise from a stranger on a keyboard sat in a grubby bedroom
Ive been here many years ,and seen the change in this place and the people who frequent it ,and I've seen the nice people leave because it got too much for them ,sad really

If the threads are racist though (or people think they're racist) then of course they're going to get annoyed and say something

Only when I don't feel I have been insulting to anyone but they insist on being insulting to me, repeatedly. Having a different opinion in itself is not insulting anyone.

Trouble is those that dish it out don't like it back and those that do it back are, from my experience, the ones that get infracted. Totally bizarre in my opinion.

But Brillo isn't the only member you pick on like the local bully. Who are you to decide who is racist, or Tory or whatever? There is a huge difference between disagreement and mocking and belittling people.

Chuff im sorry but you bang about nice fun posters leaving, the forum has changed and so on due to 'not so nice' members, whilst continuously insulting forum members in these sort of posts its completely hypocritical tbqh.

And im really intrigued to know who these dozens of members are that have left, when as far as i can see 1 or 2 members have left due to different issues on the forum, others have been banned for obvious reasons.

Ah,Livia a voice of reason,I do find TIBB of late very childish,can't seem to find an adult to debate with properly, the few that do come here leave or are pushed out the door, and I agree it is hostile,I dont always post but I do look at the forum and anyone with a brain cell can see what happens everytimee brillo posts,I wonder sometimes if TIBB actually wants new posters tbh . Lovely to see you post again though as always.
