I did panic buy loads of wine, panicking at being stuck home with the kids for an indefinite amount of time :fan:

i bought a case of wine as well. I like a case as its not as judgemental as a bottle

which stares at you with its clear walls telling the world how much you drunk the night before

the clever case just sits there, opaque and mysterious

:hee:

Stay safe DR.
My daughter is travelling the 309 miles back up here on Sunday as well.

Same here. It was supposed to start snowing around now originally and now they've changed it to 2pm.

Stay warm and safe everyone! If all else fails there is the mystery of LT's case of wine.

.. I remember saying that at the start of TBFTE 1.0 and then 24 hours later we were under nearly 2 feet of snow and cut off from civilisation for 4 days. :joker:

We just had a mini blizzard dumped loads of snow but only lasted about 15mins and now blue skies. Icy cold wind though. My son played football this morning and we had snow, sun, wind and sleet in the 40 mins they played. They didn't care running about but it was grim on the touchline

smudgie 17-03-2018 05:52 PM

It's snowed blizzards in between sunshine all day here, and it was snowing last night.

Kizzy 17-03-2018 06:15 PM

Snowing in Leeds and effing freeeeezzzzzing!!

Here's the radar

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/...4.00&lat=55.01

Been snowing all day here but not settled since it was so mild yesterday, ground temp seems to have dropped now and it's finally beginning to accumulate, we'll see what it amounts to

Hopefully it's the SE/SW's turn to have some fun

Which apps are these? Inbuilt weather apps are notoriously useless

And, to be fair, showers (such is their nature) are not the easiest thing to forecast

I'm like the apprentice on cover duty until he returns

Younger but with a much more limited understanding :hee:

Ashley. 18-03-2018 04:30 AM

Snowed for about half an hour

I just use the BBC, they're usually pretty accurate (well in my area, anyway) whereas inbuilt apps almost never are. They forecasted rain for this entire week and it only rained once.
