I'm absolutely triggered by the people in this list. Just triggered. I consider a good amount of them to be "regulars" in my eyes as they have paved the way into my little SD illustration that is sits inside my skull. That's about as regular as it gets for me. I demand compensation.......... by creating a new sub, Seriously Regular...

Your problem with SD appears to be people agreeing with others and using clapping smiles

If thats the extent if it, it hardly constitutes a ‘problem’ in my eyes

When I started the list I didn’t think it would be as big as is, I will compensate you Maru with a regular from SD :clap1:

Imo, neither SD nor Chat are that bad. They are actually quite good all things considered.
The forum as a whole is pretty good. BB may be going wrong but the forum can evolve and stay. But only if members and staff want it to. So let's remember the positives like friends, humour and debate it gives and help it keep going.

Withano 24-06-2018 08:34 AM

SD isn’t half as bad as it once used to be.

Not so long ago, there was only two talking points (Corbyn or Brexit) and the majority of those threads would all be made by a single member

But that stopped, and was replaced by people just coming in, ignoring the thread entirely and just talking about themselves and the moderators

But that simmered down, now, the most frustrating issue is that there are countless posts that are just cheerleading really. Several members wouldnt go in to discuss the thread. Theyre going in to dance and clap with emojis to their mates as if a debate is friend-thing. It used to be a lot worse than what it is now, some individuals have stopped cheerleading entirely, but others havent stopped their silliness.

Its still the least popular subforum on the website, but it is better than it used to be.

I think the numbers speak for themselves and the fact that James attached Celebrity to it as it is the most active forum speaks volumes...

It's all down to fake news and perception, the forum is fine, it's just people have got into a habit of blaming SD for all the forums woes and obviously people are happy to run with that as it absolves themselves of any responsibility of how they behave

No it isn’t envy lol (why are you so defensive over it), I listed several of the problems that SD has, nobody is envious over those haha. There are a lot more issues raised by other people too (trashy/unwelcoming/hostile/etc), nobody is envious of those issues either.

Tbh look at TV or parliament debates, no different from SD. People pull the same tricks. It's not SD it's human nature.

In what way is me saying ‘it isn’t envy’ speaking for the forum more than Cherie saying ‘it is envy’

This is what I meant by cheerleading and clappy/joker/dancy emojis. Its a problem in SD. It isnt productive, its childish. That applies to you here too chuff. The same group (and it is a group) of people ruining it for the rest.

Yes... That's the extent of it... That's what I said... clearly.

Why bother asking questions when you completely ignore the answer?

You find SD lovely, that's brilliant for you. But that has no bearing on other people.

I wouldn’t need them to, we’re adults having a conversation.. is that why you all do it so often? To feed each others egos?

I was asking a question, there was no insult there, LT.

We are supposed to be adults, and in the real world friends have each others backs if they agree with them they will say so,it's no different on here, maybe the problem is some of us are 'friends' and like each other. Now I suppose it will be a 'gang' just because I joined in the convo, lol,it's a forum it's what people do,I happen to think some of the smilies are funny when used right and can also say to the other person that one is joking. as for feeding peoples ego,you only have to enter ML for that.:smug:

Twosugars 24-06-2018 11:37 AM

...ehm, ehm...what about lbgt subforum? maybe Maru's right and we need something different from the usual, and go love/relationships/psychology route? Hopefully there'd be less bickering there?

Well of course you don’t see cheerleading as a problem with SD Kaz lol. It’s three quarters of the posts that you make there. It is seen as a problem though because it’s childish and causes hostility.

Using this most recent example
Cherie: people are envious
Withano: people are not envious
LT: when did you speak for everyone withano
Chuff: excellent joke LT

Its kinda hard to give your post any weight, if the squad cant see how utterly ridiculous you regularly portray yourself with an example that transparent, then its beyond the help you can receive from me.

In summary, SD is incredibly unpopular, and the reasons why is very clearly detailed in this thread on purpose, and on accident. Read through it if you want.
