Wow, I hadn't seen half of the stuff that is coming out. Too much for one person to deal with after just 1 incident we didn't even know the full story of. Disgusting.

They should be ashamed tbh

Amy Jade 16-02-2020 04:59 PM

Sorry but why were Fathers For Justice going after her? Shouldn't they be scaling buildings dressed as spiderman to hold banners nobody reads?

Marsh. 16-02-2020 05:01 PM

It really makes no sense. It's almost like they're saying "fathers stopped from seeing their kids due to domestic abuse should be allowed to because look women can be abusers too". The message makes zero sense.

This broke my heart

Laura Whitmore's words actually really hit home for me.

I think we are all guilty of it it some way, shape or form but it's not my place to preach so I'll just speak for myself. I look and think back to some of the things I've said and shes right, I should be ashamed - just this past series I was laughing at Connors teeth and really it was pathetic, he obviously had veneers to cover up an insecurity and I came on here and on whatsapp and called him names and its not cute its mean, I got caught up in the moment and just post stuff I find amusing and say it's ok because it's only seen by a select few but it's really not, its cruel and so uncalled for, I could have easily just said he wasnt my cup of tea or I found him beige or better still just ignored him and made comments on things I like or just situations instead.

I need to do better and I will in the future.

Yes , nicely put

.. I’ve possibly been over critical of Jess ..I will also make some much needed adjustments in my approach to life

As the lady herself said ..

“ In a world where you can be anything .... be kind .”

I disagree, you shouldn't be ashamed. Connor looked like Tiger Roll.

It's not mean, because you're not mean. You're just doing what everybody else does. We all insult people from time to time.

You'll be back to slagging me and others off soon, because that's natural. And I'll be fine with that.

I actually think some good could come out of this tragedy if only of some people start being kinder and more tolerant of others .

Sadly real bad people will always exist

Exactly, I reigned myself in a while ago, as I have in the past give some of the BB contestants a hard time , but I would never want to be cruel, people can't help their looks,so comments about that are a no no to me now and to be honest uts quite childish, but I wonder how long it will be before people forget this lesson to be kind.

No Alf, its mean to call peoples looks out it may not bother you and that's fine, but it could bother others and there is the danger, not everyone is broad shouldered like you, we really should think a bit more and try at least to be kinder.

I think a few of us have already said that we will make positive adjustments to the way we are with others .. that should also apply to how we speak to each other in this very forum though ..

Please don't be kind to me, I find it embarrassing, especially when it's forced, fake kindness. I prefer honesty.

Marsh. 16-02-2020 09:56 PM

The alternative to unnecessary nastiness should be nothing, not fake kindness.

You can be honest without being unkind though that's the point.

I'm sorry, but celebrity deaths don't shock me.

They don't even make me emotional.

I pity the death and the family left behind, but I just gape in disbelief that it takes a celeb to die for such an out pouring of emotion, guilt and pity.

Not really. It takes a celeb death for a public display of guilt about what led to that death.

People aren't going to be discussing their family's deaths on public platforms like this.

The comparison is not valid.
