Yes, Diana was only 19 and left floundering when she joined the family, who were heavily criticised for not treating her well. Which is why, by all accounts special efforts were made with Meghan to help her fit in and feel welcome, especially by the Queen. That was thrown back in her face...

I would assume she needs sympathy as a 93 yr old with a sick and frail husband and a son in disgrace having more trouble heaped on her at that time. I would have thought it is natural to assume that, but thats me. :shrug:

Diana was Harry's mother, I wouldn't blame him if he had some deep rooted resentment for the "family" from the way his mother was abandoned. Whether they went above and beyond to make Meghan welcome will never bring harry his mother back, nor make up for the pain he felt since then. He may have limited empathy now....I couldn't blame him for that.

Coming from the guy who thinks he knows the inner workings of Prince Harry's mind from reading Ok Magazine and the odd article in the Daily Mail.

i mean i do not hate Meghan (not at all) but she literally does herself no favors here

and lol as a dutchman i know controversy in royal family, because of our current king Willem-Alexander, back in 2002 his wedding with Maxima Zorreguieta (yes daughter of a war criminal Jorge Zorreguieta) that public response towards her was also mainly negative at first, but after a while, and especially now public overall quite likes her with just a few moans left here and there in the media

my point is you can see the contrast with a Maxima or a Meghan, and a Maxima is from a very much more horrible, controversial family, Jorge Zorreguieta contributed to several genocides back in those times when argentina was in times of war, corruption

good points Nicky, I dont think anyone hates her or Harry, its just they say one thing then do the exact opposite so their views hold very little credibility with me anyway

It was heartbreaking for the boys. William lost his mother too, but he doesn't go on about it and certainly wouldn't talk about it to a load of bankers for big bucks, like Harry did.
In the past, Harry has said how his brother was his 'stay' and his 'saviour' in all the years after she died, now he is calling him a snob because he simply said to take more time to get to know Meghan. Whatever went on, the worse thing to come out of the marriage was the two brothers relationship, once so close, is now in tatters.
