Lady Victoria also defended Ghislaine Maxwell though and said she was being treated as a "scapegoat" so her judgement is a little questionable to be honest.

But Amber was arrested for domestic violence to her ex wife.

Her ex-wife has said that it was an incident that was blown out of proportion and she wasn't charged :shrug: I don't know much about it, haven't been following the case just pick up bits here and there so there may be things I don't know about. All I am saying is that Lady Victoria is obviously not the best judge of character if she can defend Ghislaine Maxwell

It does not matter who Amber Heard is, what’s she’s like or what she’s done. The question is “Did Johnny Depp ever physically abuse her”. That’s it. That’s the only question. If the answer is any variation of “Yes he hit her but…” then that’s a yes, even if she’s literally the devil. It’s a civil case, launched by Depp, saying that allegations of physical violence are untrue. There’s both audio and text message evidence of him apologising for getting violent and out of control whilst drunk/high. The rest is all entirely irrelevant.

Truth is I think there are plenty of Depp supporters who deep down just think “Well maybe he did, but she had it coming” but aren’t willing to say that out loud.

There's no evidence of Johnny ever hitting Amber.
While there is plenty of evidence that Amber hit Johnny.
That is my opinion.
But everyone is entitled to think what they want.

There are literally text messages between them where she mentions him getting violent and he’s apologising and saying it won’t happen again. I think you’re extremely selective on what you consider to be “good enough proof”… but it appears you’re not alone and this exact narrative is playing out across social media. A case of a messy, drug-fuelled relationship rewritten as a saint-like almost 50 year old man who got involved with an evil woman in her early 20’s. The poor wee soul.

Depp opened up this trial himself, he wanted this to go to court . It just doesn't make any sense why he'd do that if he's 'lying' about everything.

And as i keep saying guilty or innocent , the damage is already done and his reputation will be affected no matter what you think.

He opened up this case because the case he opened against The Sun went nowhere as it was found, in court, that there was sufficient evidence for the things they had said about them and thus it was not libel. That’s the only reason he decided to take Herd herself to court. Petty revenge. There’s text messages of him saying as much, also… again I’m sure “not good enough” evidence. They settled the rest of it years ago.

He knows his reputation is damaged so he’s taken it to court to destroy hers too in revenge and to play up to the fan base that he still has. That’s worked better than he could have imagined and he’s drawn in a new fan base alongside (MRA's, meme bros, other assorted incels who are happy to watch a witch trial). They’re the ones pushing all of the social media misinformation, e.g. the supposed “talented mr ripley” quotes which I assume we can now all agree was entirely false?

You’ve hit the nail on the head really - WHY would he start this media circus knowing that it could only do more damage to his reputation. What’s your answer to that question? It’s certainly not for the money, he has more than she’ll ever have. There’s only one viable answer. He started this because he’s (still) angry and he wants to punish her. He’s said so in his own words. This is the mindset of a controlling abuser. Anyone with any real objectivity can understand that.

Clips where she says she can't promise she won't get violent again.
