am surprised you guys aren't keeping up with that league, considering quite a few england stars have ventured into that league now

David Beckham owner of a team

Phil Neville, Wayne Rooney coaches of respectively Inter Miami and DC United, the former Man City women coach Nick Cushing whom now is a interim manager for New York City FC, former Everton, Burnley legend Adrian Heath in charge of Minnesota United, or Gary Smith in charge of Nashville SC

Missed the match as were were travelling hope, congratulations to the ladies, more pressure on the men now to do well in the WC :hehe:

Zizu 01-08-2022 11:56 AM

Try searching online for England team or England football team and all results are for women :)

I wonder how long it will take to revert back to men ..

Or are the waters so muddied now that there will always be confusion

I remember the days of the Doncaster Belles.

Yes! Women's football has been around for years. It was crap then and it still is now and no marketing is gonna change the standard of play.

You can't buy me.

after our win back in 2017 we immediately saw a huge rise in signups and we still see lots of interest for our women's eredivisie league now

this upcoming season, the newest addition to go for a women's team is Fortuna Sittard

marketing has always been important to promote a sport event, standard of play has gone up massively now, what we can see with this win, and one of their team players, Jill Scott was already there back in 2009, when they were still struggling and she before this final also has said that this is also for their struggles back then, with lots of hard work which lead ultimately to this success with a newer generation

Sad to hear the comments about “ partying more than we played football over the last 24 hours “ got the loudest cheer from the crowd :(

You wonder why our country has such a problem with alcohol

umm no, i'm serious

during the matches i've always been cheering for them

but there is something like you can ''jinx'' it for them if you are too optimistic, so i had to come up with some reverse psychology tactics

How does that decide anything?

Both teams played other teams from Europe. The women beat all the other women's teams, the men fell at the final hurdle.

Playing against each other is only ever going to end one way, the same way it did when Serena Williams at her best, got slammed by a man who was ranked in the 100s. Physically, they don't match up.

Not sure why you're being so salty that the women have won their championship by continuing to say they are not as good as the men. Against each other, probably not but against other women's teams, they've done what the men haven't.

Had the men won the Euro's last year everyone would have been creaming over them, why are you so determined to under mine the women's achievements?

It's the equivalent of a man winning the house at bingo. Have you ever seen how salty the women get over that? Well this is the same.

Zizu 01-08-2022 04:27 PM

England ( men ) yes it’s come to this point ... play Germany ( men ) in a few weeks in a must win game !!

Interesting times

That is both sexist and a little bit pathetic Alf  You be salty and butt hurt that our ladies did good. Its only you looking silly right now. I get it your pissed that rugby isn't as popular as football but you really need to get over it.

If the truth is sexist then that's the way it goes. Have you ever seen women at bingo?

They say things like "men shouldn't be here, we need something for ourselves to call our own" They give you mucky looks with faces like thunder. And you get a big tut and moan if you win. Vicious they are.

Zizu 01-08-2022 05:43 PM

Their next game ( England women ) is likely to be arguably an even bigger prize .. they are to play the Copa America champions Brasil in a winner takes all match

How would it make you popular just to acknowledge the girls done good?

I'm not going to entertain your bingo stories, not quite sure what decade you last went to bingo but I know loads of guys who go.

I have only ever been a couple of times myself, I get too distracted by the cheap beer to be able to keep up but there were definitely guys there and I heard no sexist drivel like you're peddling

I'm entitled to my opinion. And my opinion is, you're a bunch of sheep jumping on the bandwagon because the television tells you too. Women's football has been there for decades and nobody cared about it until the television told you that you had to watch it. It was a crap amateur sport then and it's a crap amateur sport now.
