We have a right to know who this person is I dont know why the BBC are protecting them and you have victim blamed saying the family should have gone to the police first that is not your call to make

You can’t see your own hypocrisy

You are going on about the innocent people at the bbc but at the same time happy to throw innocent names about.

Try going into a police station and demanding to see the names of those who have been accused of a crime, you will get told to do one.

Lucy Frazer KC MP
Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport,
is in contact with BBC CEO Tim Davie.

Legal Expert on SkyNewsHD
said one of the problems
is the suspended worker
may have lawyers telling him not to speak
to the BBC.

No I won’t

If the family went to the police first you wouldn’t be joking about possible innocent people it could be.

Even those accused of a crime have rights.

Some how you think having a tv license gives you rights above and beyond the laws of this country.

the bbc did nothing for 2 months after the allegation was first made. They have done their utmost to cover the whole thing up. That requires investigation

Yes the BBC claim the first contact
2 months back was brief?

Cherie 10-07-2023 08:06 AM

There was another payment made AFTER the mother went to the BBC, she went to the BBC to ask them to stop the payments being made, in my view that was the right way to go as the payments are funding the drug habit, so she wanted to cut off the source ....how anyone can argue with that is mind boggling

I think you are forgetting the recent events with Philip scholfield

ITV asked the questions and the presenter told them the accusations/rumours were not true, the same could be said about this situation

Look what happened to cliff Richard

People made false accusations, his home was raided live on tv

He was cleared and was he not awarded a massive some of money?

The complaint was made on the 19th May...how long do the BBC need... they victim blamed the mother saying she didn't give them enough information, its only after it came out in the press they have swung into action....shameful

Cherie 10-07-2023 08:11 AM

Did Kay Burley just confirm it was a boy there, she mentioned 'son' then backtracked.

Cliff Richard was an allegation that could be denied

This case had phone conversations by text, money transfers and a pic of the accused semi-naked on the child's phone

If it can’t be proven that they were 17 at the time there is no criminal case
Just like Phil

Liam- 10-07-2023 08:52 AM

I hope the people being accused do end up suing those spreading lies about them

it doesnt need to be a criminal case. Simply put, if the guy has tarnished the reputation of the bbc that is grounds for dismissal, end of. That's why this whole investigation drama is a joke. If they even have a sniff of impropriety, they can get shot of him
