Maia 02-11-2011 10:36 AM

Was quite a bad episode so not surprising.

Awful.

I can see the final getting about 1.7.

Remember when we all were disgusted when BB10 got 3.5 for the final well i would kill for that sort of figure now.

Jake. 05-11-2011 02:15 PM

Its not fair that a brilliant series like this suffers

The series is "suffering" because it ISN'T "brilliant" - if it were, new or casual viewers would have been attracted to it, but the figures have remained almost static (per day) throughout the series - even evictions have failed to create the usual "buzz" .....

Yeah, "3.5m is what other series averaged" was the response, but well over a million potential viewers decided not to bother with this series .....

I think you are getting opinions mixed with facts. I THINK it is brilliant and pis*es over BB11

Ah, so it's just your opinion, not a fact ..... ;)

The fact is that millions of potential BB viewers have either not bothered or drifted away as an expression of their opinion (whatever that may be) ..... :idc:

I do agree that it has not been a classic BB series by any stretch of the imagination ! ...Apart from the Aaron/Faye show, the other HMs have'nt been worthy of an audience....in fact , if there had been a better casting result then even Aaron and Faye would have been mediocre!

But having said that....It's been a whole lot better than having NO BB at all, as we thought at the end of BB11!(which I also thought was poor,... apart from Ben!)...and I believe that lessons will be learned , and it will be better next time!

MTVN 06-11-2011 01:39 AM

Can see the ratings for tonight being awful

daniel-lewis-1985 06-11-2011 12:53 PM

Big Brother - 917k (4.4%)

More than i expected considering the strange start time and it being bonfire night.

BB IS ALIVE 06-11-2011 01:07 PM

It beat channel 4 again last night, aswell as on the past two or three evictions.
Plus the live eviction on thursday, aswell as the new Mentalist series, and the Final on Friday should hopefully beat channel 4 again

I bet C4 didnt spend £200,000,000 trying :joker:

Things can only get better perhaps for future Series of BB on Channel 5? Remember Series 1 of BB on Channel 4 probably wasnt the best of series either.

I really do hope so i think a poor lineup hasnt helped things this year and if they dont bring back live feed i think they might have to face figures of 500k if they bother doing another proper series of big brother.
They only wanted CBB to start with so its no suprise they have aired an awful series of the normal series really.

I keep hearing that, they really would be stupid if that's what they're thinking, there's far more money to be made with J&Js than KKs.

Benji10uk 06-11-2011 01:34 PM

Is Big Brother doing well for Channel 5? Is BB getting more viewers for the channel?Without BB would they still be getting these viewing figures?

They are contracted to one more as far as i know it will be half assed again then i can only imagine a 3 year extension of CBB only but time will tell.

Why do people keep saying this?

BB1 on Channel 4 was huge averaging 4.5 million viewers and 9 million for the final.

Channel 5 viewing figures are normally in the hundreds of thousands so it's better than they normally get but I think they'd probably have hoped for about 2m throughout the series
