i dont see how that makes her the queen of pop. the queen of promoting tours in 2009, most definitely.

MiuMiu 30-09-2009 10:25 PM

Beyonce sold out everywhere too.
Fact.
What does that make her?

[rquote=2615510&tid=120195&author=Hugo]& I think alot of Britney fans are saying they like it just because it's Britney and they think they have to love everything she does. [/rquote]

I think exactly the same thing. I think they all secretly hate it. Can't blame them though, it was a huge let down.

MarkWaldorf 01-10-2009 05:14 PM

Yeah 'we secretly hate it' :conf:

001steven 01-10-2009 06:28 PM

Omg so wrong. In fact Beyonce's tour was a tragic flop  Shame.

Look at the boxscore data. Only a select few dates sold out and at one stage she sells as low as 64% of the arena.

You've actaually mad me angry by your ignorance.

I know for a fact that Britney's 2 concerts didn't sell out in Ireland and she only played 2 nights here.
Beyonce played 4 nights in irealnd with 2 more to go in November. They were all sld out and the 2 in November are all sold out!

In an article headlined "Concert Charts: Fierce Showing By Beyoncé On Top Tours List," music journalist Bob Allen wrote that "....AEG Live, the promoter of the tour's European leg reports more than $23 million in ticket sales, including four sellouts at London's O2 Arena and four more sellouts at Dublin's O2. (With) European totals...combined with more recent U.S. shows promoted by Live Nation, Beyoncé easily lands in the top spot on this week's rankings. With reported grosses topping $36 million since the tour began, her show ranks among the top 15 grossing tours of the year, with still more dates scheduled into the fall."

With an overall box office tally of $26,476,830 for the period covered, Beyoncé's "I AM..." tour achieved a remarkable 97% ticket sell-through (357,074 seats out of a possible 368,210) on 29 shows from Croatia to Sacramento.

The US leg of Beyoncé's "I AM..." tour ends this week with a four-night residency at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas running from Thursday, July 30 through Sunday, August 2.

Following a pair of one-off shows in August at the Summer Sonic Festival in Japan and the opening of the Donbass Stadium in the Ukraine, Beyoncé's "I AM..." world tour resumes with concerts planned for Australia, Japan, Korea, Asia, Africa with a return to Europe slated for November.

well to be fair, Michael was referring to the second US leg only, so the lack of sell out at the Dublin shows isn't really relevant.

:thumbs2:[/rquote]I made you angry? pmsfl. get a grip!

Beyonce's tour was a flop. She's a huge superstar but is selling 57% of 10, 000 capacity venues in France. :bored:

And the U.S and Canada leg was also a flop. Britney's tour has been such a huge success but Beyonce's hasn't. I'm not hating, I'm just telling the truth. I like Beyonce. And I like her tour. But the ticket sales aren't good. Just because Beyonce sold out a few shows in Ireland dosen't make the tour a success.

And the ticket sales were so low in the States that they were reduced to $10-$5 and in the U.K. they were given away free on every radio station, and in trident gum wrappers.

:laugh3: But nevermind.
