I think Ben and Jay can too as I'm sure they drive cars in and out of the garage

That's what I mean, Ben & Jay have been on the show constantly (the only time Ben wasn't on the show was when he was in prison) and we've never had a mention of them learning to drive.

This is why I'm liking SOC's era so much, it's more character-driven and he focuses on simplistic ideas that other producers probably thought to be too boring to include (such as the bin storyline which I actually love in retrospect)

Even Kathy knew and just shrugged

Stacey was the only one fighting the patriarchy

I did sob. It was the perfect ending for her and she came full circle with her FINALLY giving birth to a healthy baby who would live a long life and then dying :(

I like that. Because it's not like DS love to exaggerate, it wasn't a storyline or taking screen time from the actual stories, it was a realistic backdrop that the different characters could reference. Makes them more believable as characters with lives and stuff like that. (Apart from Abi, who has no life and pretends she's going out when people knock on Dot's house and she's eating popcorn in the dark teehee).

Rather than like Ronnie bleating on about "My sister..." or Denise constantly harping on about the baby. It shows there is more to their lives than being isolated to their own storylines.

I agree

The bin story worked so well because it was so realistic

The same with Kim learning to drive or Stacey decorating her new home

Did the bins get sorted out

The epic climax of Linda screaming at the lorry drivers when they finally arrived at the worst possible moment. :worship:

Honestly, it was bloody genius. :joker:

How embarrassing that it had better writing than R&R's exit.

There wasn't enough appreciation in here for Linda and her starting the music at the wrong time

There was a mention of them recently (I think it was Honey) saying that they're finally improving.

What was even wrong with the bins

Marsh. 30-12-2016 12:03 AM

Omg, did you see the trailer someone made for the bin storyline?

reece(: 30-12-2016 12:03 AM

The bins should've stayed binned

Walford finally joined the rest of the country and had their collections moved to once a fortnight and they had to start separating their trash into different containers for recycling. So, the rubbish piled up on the streets.

Yeah I've really enjoyed it. At least Denise has the GCSE English storyline which has been good. I'm not really sure where she thinks she's going to end up with 1 GCSE, mind.
