Tbf to Rangers and Arsenal, they both haven't lost a game for months on end.

They're both entitled to lose one match.

What's bad is how skewed both the Premier League and the SPFL are towards Man City and Celtic currently.

I mean Brendan Rodgers has really tried his best to make Rangers have a different title rival this season, but the investment in the other teams is too low to stop them, so when Rangers makes mistakes, Celtic are most likely going to capitalize on it, rather than **** up due to the fact that the other Scottish teams have poor players at the moment.

Rodri is arguably City's most important player at the base of midfield

•The Spain international has been suspended on multiple occasions this season

•Man City are a pale imitation of themselves without Rodri

Rodri the key to City success in 2023-24

This season, Rodri has missed three Premier League games through suspension, all of which City have lost(1-2 at Wolves, 0-1 at Arsenal (https://en.as.com/soccer/why-has-mik...aston-villa-n/) and 0-1 at Aston Villa). He also wasn’t in the squad for the Carabao Cup third round defeat to Newcastle United at the end
of September. All in all,
each of their last five reverses
have come without the Spain international.

Manchester City's most important player has been clear for quite some time now. It's not Ruben Dias, it's not Kevin De Bruyne and it's not even last season's top scorer Erling Haaland.
No, it's Rodri, the midfield enforcer who keeps the treble winners ticking.

Since making his debut for the Sky Blues in August 2019, Guardiola's men have lost seven of 17 Premier League (https://www.90min.com/leagues/premier-league) games in which Rodri hasn't featured. That means the all-conquering Man City have lost more than a third (41%) of the league games they have played without their midfield stalwart.

Rodri is a great player.

But even I didn't realize just how important he is to Man City.

bots 15-04-2024 10:44 AM

he didn't play at the weekend and they won 5-1, also, given city are top of the league, they havent done badly over the duration of the season

Palmer is a beast

Swan 15-04-2024 07:36 PM

Wouldn't like to think where we'd be without Palmer this season. Best bit of business we've done in years. Considering all the money we waste, he was an absolute bargain!

Swan 15-04-2024 08:29 PM

Palmer did the right thing with that pen. Jackson was acting pathetically. 4 goals for Palmer.

He hasn’t missed the whole season though and without him their results were poor - as i showed earlier

Also it was Luton Town .. second worst defence in the league

We'd have been in a relegation battle without him!

Never expected us to win like this tonight. 6-0

Zizu 15-04-2024 09:00 PM

That 6:0 drubbing has just buggered up Everton’s goal difference which was worth a point until today .. now they are equal goal difference with Forest

They beat Luton 5-1, with all due respect to Luton.

And Man City are the best team in the country right now, so I would be shocked tbh if they weren't top of the table at this stage of the Season, I've been saying that they'll win the League over the past few weeks, even when some people were getting carried away with Arsenal and Liverpool, I have always stated that Man City will win the League because they have the best players currently.

And Rodri being solid for them in the midfield is a big contributing factor to their success this season, his not the only factor, but he is a big factor.

Alejandro Garnacho has been dealt with “internally” by Manchester United after liking two social media posts criticising boss Erik ten Hag

Garnacho was subbed at half-time of United's 2-2 draw at Bournemouth on Saturday, with Ten Hag critical of the winger's performance in a post-match interview. Argentina star Garnacho appeared to be heading for a major row with Ten Hag after liking the social media posts slamming the United boss for his handling of the 19-year-old.

But Garnacho subsequently unliked both posts, which is understood to have been welcomed by United, the contrition shown by the player said to have avoided a fall-out with Ten Hag.

Ten Hag wont be there at the end of the season

What is it with Man Utd players hating all of their Managers post-Fergie? They really need to get a grip.

bots 16-04-2024 10:05 AM

Ten Hag has been vindictive against certain players, that's the problem

Swan 16-04-2024 12:32 PM

Young players have too much of an ego nowadays. Look at Jackson last night having a tantrum because Palmer took the ball for the pen. Yeah we'd won the game by that point, but still, Palmer had scored 8/8, making it 9/9 after he scored. I was so pleased Palmer put his foot down and took the ball off Jackson, shows signs of being a leader.
