I thought it was a bit boring after the explosion. Aside from Arya's pie baking.
Of course all of the crap and overrated characters are aligning behind Daenerys :idc: the pointless Sands, a vengeful Olenna (who is just kept around for a bit of bitchiness that I'm so over)... glad to see Varys and Tyrion's dream team will continue though I suppose.
There was NO ****ING POINT to the Sam scene. Like woo. A big library. Thanks for that.
King in the North stuff... yeah great, very exciting, etc etc, but what's the point? Basically every other faction is killed off now and there's just nothing left... I get that they're setting up the end of the show in general but this final season is going to be hella boring. Daenerys & Jon team up, defeat the walkers, share the throne / set up a democracy or whatever as
Idk I just think the show's peaked in earlier seasons and we're now just careering towards a predictable ending. Dragons + valerian steel = no more walkers.
As already said, the Kings Landing stuff was brilliant but I didn't know Margaery would die :( another wasted character. And of course the gay dies... :idc: but otherwise, Cersei is my perfect villain for this show and I'll hope she gets to at least unleash Gregor on the rest of the Sands. Will probably end up killing him though to avenge Oberyn or whatever.
OK a lot of the letdown vibe is because I had everything spoiled already  except Arya's pop-up (but even that felt obvious) and Margaery dying as well as everyone else. But come on... just ****ing throw in Stoneheart so there's something new and bloody interesting. Only wildcards in the show now that I can't quite see fitting into the obvious story are Brienne, the Hound and Jamie.
