It really annoys me how the 6th formers are being shoved in our face when characters like Cindy, Tony, Nancy, Amy, Jack are just being left in the dark
|
I don't think they thought this through. After one of the best story-lines with Silas they fill our screens with a load of newbies. They should have had some of the older cast members involved in a story. I know they have the Warren & Brendon story going, but they really needed to have something else going on that doesn't focus too much on all the new characters.
|
Way back when they killed off Warren I was gutted, he was my favourite character at the time. Then years later when they brought him back I was excited and really happy, one of my favourites was returning.
Now though, I have lost all faith in the character and I'll be glad when he's gone. I don't know if it's because the show has moved on and he doesn't fit any more or they've just really camped him up this time. |

Yeah, it annoyed me when in one scene a few weeks ago Ethan was getting out the car and Warren came up to him, now you'd imagine Warren would have a cig or something being a "bad boy" but nooooo he had a ****ing lollypop, I was like WTF lol

Maddie is really growing on me, lot more to her and I like the random quiet guy shes been interacting with a lot too. Potentially good storyline here :D

Your earlier comment about Warren got me thinking, do any of the characters smoke on Hollyoaks ? I can't picture any of them, even going back a few years. I would have thought Myra would be seen with a fag hanging outside her gob. |
Justin used to smoke a bit but that's it I think.
Yeah I'd expect like, most of the McQueens to smoke and stuff, and some of the students. They've not even done a storyline with like the younger ones trying it or anything. It is a bit annoying when none of the bad people smoke and are more bothered about fitness and stuff :joker: |
Yes, it's like they are trying to give the audience role models, especially with the younger characters.
Yet at the same time they feature alcohol in a big way, which kinda contradicts my point:laugh: I'm guessing we're going to see more of the coffee shop and less of the SU bar in the future. |
Yeah, they don't do the whole student drinking thing as well as they used to, seems a lot more forced for some reason

I think the new character Dennis, the relative of Dodger and Will is a slightly better looking version of Ben Mitchell in Eastenders, too early to decide whether I like him or not, seems ok for now.

Sorry Kate but that website does not let you do it:(. They ask people not to or they will withdraw their service.

Thanks:). I like to summarise it, the show just needs a new bad girl now.
Warren may be going but Emmett Scanlan has confirmed that he is sticking around as Brendan for the long term at the moment which is good news:). |

Think his contract runs out soon, only signed a year deal

I really don't like Ethan and wish he would go but Craig Vye seems nice in what I have seen of him in videos/interviews outside of the show. |
Can't expect much from Tony, Cindy, Amy or Ste until the new year then -sigh-

Hollyoaks star Rob Norbury has claimed that his on-screen grandfather Jeff Rawle is a hit with the ladies.
Rawle joined his former soap colleagues on a night out recently and was apparently surrounded by women who wanted to meet the man behind evil Silas Blissett. Norbury, who plays footballer Riley Costello, told PA: "He came out for a night out with us in Liverpool and he got mobbed. I was getting a bit jealous. All these hot blondes were coming up to him. I was like, 'I'm not happy here'. "He's a bit of a pin-up, forget all those Dirty Dens and all that." He continued: "He'll be up for a sexiest male nomination. He can have my longlist nomination because I won't be getting on it, you can put Jeff Rawle up. I think he'll win it!" Hollyoaks brought the Silas storyline to a close earlier this month after he was finally exposed as the village's serial killer. Silas was caught after accidentally killing his own daughter Heidi Costello (Kim Tiddy), his fourth murder since joining the show. If Jeff Rawle is still based in Liverpool or just returned to meet the cast again, could he have returned to film some more scenes e.g. in prison or a trial for his character. |
The Hollyoaks Executive Producer, Emma Smithwick is finally having an interview with Digital Spy on Wednesday:), keep an eye out some time after that for when it is published.
Excited now to hear what her plans for the show and characters are... |
Rob is really starting to annoy me...
Not that that is a bad thing, at least he's an interesting character. |

Hollyoaks star Carley Stenson has filmed a one-off return to the soap for a special Christmas episode.
The actress's character Steph Roach will appear as an angel as Doug Carter teeters on the brink of death this Boxing Day. Doug, played by PJ Brennan, starts to feel lonely and depressed in the build-up to the festive season and finds himself questioning whether his life is worth living at all. With his friends all home for the holidays, Doug reaches breaking point and jumps from a bridge. However, he then finds himself back at his flat with the heavenly vision of Steph before him. Angel Steph soon starts trying to convince Doug of the positive impact he has had in the village over the past year. Steph shows Doug that without his influence, one teenage resident would be pregnant, while another character would be a broken man after losing his loved ones at the hands of evil Silas Blissett. However, Doug also sees that his late girlfriend Bex (Daisy Turner) would still be alive if he had never arrived in Chester. A Hollyoaks statement teased: "Faced with the decision of whether to go to heaven and save Becks' life, or return to Hollyoaks and save the fate of his friends, which path will Doug choose?" Stenson bowed out from Hollyoaks late last year, when Steph died in the dramatic Il Gnosh fire. Hollyoaks will air the special Doug-centric episode on Monday, December 26 at 6.30pm on Channel 4. OMG:amazed:. I am not sure Doug knew Steph well enough? |
erm what?
