France have a quality team!!!

Their team was.

Hugo Lloris
Sagna - Abidal - Gallas - Evra
Gourcuff - L. Diarra - Gignac - Toulalon
Anelka - Henry

Subs:

Mandanda
Clichy
Ribery
Benzema
Malouda
A. Diarra
Squillaci.

Look how many amazing players there are there.

The whole of the first team are all amazing and a bench like that...
They should be an amaing team not sure why they are so average.

Jayson 10-09-2009 12:05 AM

They never perform well in the WC though.

I remember in 2002 they were eliminated in the group stages by Senegal :joker:

But yeah, they have an immense team sheet.

Yeah Denmark went through above them that year aswell i think.

And yeah with a team sheet like that they should be rivaling the likes of england.. brazil and spain..

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 12:12 AM

gignac in midfield? hes an out and out striker

the world cup wont be the same without the argies...and teams like north and south korea are going through

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 12:17 AM

veron sent off (second yellow)

Johann 10-09-2009 12:18 AM

Sort yourself out Argentina!! FFS

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 12:19 AM

they just dont work for maradona..theyre just too scared to sack him cause he is god in argentina

30stone 10-09-2009 12:22 AM

Denmark are going to be a tough challenge for people i think, Likely to finish above Sweden and Portugal..
Surprising as their 2 strikers with 3 and 5 goals.. bendtner and Larsen.. Bendtner well we know what hes like and Larsen plays for MSV Duisburg .. ( german second league )

And yeah i dont understand that..
Gignac in midfield? i think id start him over Anelka as hes a very talented goal scorer real box player.

Johann 10-09-2009 12:23 AM

this whole thing reminds me of Newcastle, hire a the hero of the club/country to be manager who has absolutely NO managerial skills. This is what you get.

Actually saying that henry could have been played in midfield as i tried to re arange it...

Evra was in striker position with toulalon..
And henry and anelka in midfield
With L Diarra in defence

dont konw why sky has it down like that

yup, the only thing it guarentees is loyalty

but its stupid, the one thing you need if your in a shitty situation is experience to get you out of the ****

30stone 10-09-2009 12:41 AM

Aaron Ramsey got a assist for Wales

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 12:42 AM

james collins scored and was captain i think :hello:

30stone 10-09-2009 12:45 AM

Barcelona are looking to make a move for Robinho in the January transfer market..
But Man city have said they would want Thierry henry for Robinho.

Imo, Henry is still a much better player.. but Robinho is 7 years younger.

Man City with Adebayor and Thierry henry up front would be amazing... both would score a lot and obviously know eachother well as henry tutored adebayor.

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 12:48 AM

robinhos temperament and attitude lets him down

30stone 10-09-2009 12:51 AM

I think overall even at 32 Henry is still a better player..
I think barca want to offer 35m if they dont then it will be henry + money.

And

England have got one big date in the diary already ahead of next summer's World Cup finals - against Brazil in Qatar in a money-spinning friendly.

The FA are set to confirm within the next 48 hours that they will play the Brazilians on November 14.

That will earn the FA in excess of an estimated £1million but also provide Fabio Capello’s men with a good test - even if the venue is unlikely to impress Premier League managers in the middle of a gruelling season.

England will also look to confirm a friendly in March against a team from one of the confederations they will face in their World Cup Group. Plus, a friendly at Wembley in May is likely to be organised.

Capello will take his players to an end-of-season training camp in Innsbruck, Austria, to help them acclimatise to the higher altitude for South Africa. They are also likely to play a friendly there before jetting to the World Cup.

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 12:52 AM

pointless friendly..but no doubt all the players will get paid mega bucks along with staff and the fa

30stone 10-09-2009 12:55 AM

I don't think its pointless, it gives us a chance to face some proper competition as other than croatia our group is full of poor teams.
Will be a hard challeneg for england..

And remember the players wages for all international games go to charity..

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 12:56 AM

yeah but not the money they get from the arabs

King Gizzard 10-09-2009 12:57 AM

1-0 FT

Paraguay qualify for the world cup

Argentina are doomed and face a near impossible task to qualify
