The whole situation is so complex. On one hand you've got the whole 'she said those things, you can't edit someone to be something their not, etc.' argument, but then there are so many things we don't see behind the scenes it clouds our judgement.

I respect RuPaul but I agree that he doesn't seem to give a **** about these girls after the show. Not that he has too. He's given these girls a platform to stardom, and it is his show after all.

I'm not huge on Ru outside of this context (apparently Manila was recently on her podcast and Ru could barely remember her ever being on the show), but the whole "reality TV isn't real" argument still doesn't convince me that Phi Phi is a victim in this scenario

No, I want to talk about Phi Phi, seeing as there's such controversy about her presence on the show. She has opened a can of worms that not many people would have the balls to do.

She will always be a victim on the abuse she's hurled at online. She acts like a dick on the show, but if she wasn't on the show this season would not be receiving the attention it has.

idk, I love these types of shows but it's quite sadistic to have people exploited to the point where they want to quit drag (it's happened before). I might be defending Phi Phi too much, but it does make me sad to what extent this show has ruined her. I do understand that she has herself to blame, but a lot of it is the editing and the fans really feeling the need to hate someone.

Oh god, maybe I just need to shut up and take satisfaction out of two of my queens coming back and eliminating the villain.

To be fair the Tyra/Ru comparison doesn't really hold up since to my knowledge Tyra doesn't nearly harp on about herself being a mother to the competition and everyone being family as much as Ru does. There seems to be a lot of solid evidence of Ru being a shady **** behind the scenes and when it's in direct contrast to her "everybody say love!" appearance on the show it's much more noticeable and shameful.

What a glorious episode. I'm glad Tati and Alyssa got to come back, I loved Ginger in S7 but she's not exactly shone much this season so I'm not too sad she didn't come back.

I'm so here for the downfall of Phi Phi, she's obviously one of those people that's a complete and utter nightmare that never accepts responsibility for their own actions and blames everyone else instead. The only time she was in the Top 2 was to set up a plotline and she's been very average at the other tasks plus the fact that she was a horror only adds to why she was sent home.

As for her actions since leaving she show, I don't really feel sorry for her. She comes across as bitter because that she didn't get the redemption she wanted although she showed us repeatedly that she hadn't changed. No amount of editing could make someone look as bad as she did if she wasn't actually a bitch to begin with.

See...I read her interview from up the page....and I watch this... and I think...how can I believe what she says about anything when here she is caught out clearly in a few lies....

I don't know...I want to have sympathy for her ...but I don't even think she was bullied out of drag anymore.... it sounds in the interview as if he has been slowly trying to build a career as a male singer....and using drag to build a fan base....and now maybe this controversy as well...and making it bigger online rt now for that reason

She's just deluded really, thinks the whole world is out to get her because she can't accept her own personality flaws. She's just jealous of Alyssa really because she's a fan favourite and Phi Phi's always wanted to be one.
