Yes it reminded me of The Pandorica Opens speech he made to the spaceships in the sky.

It's an amazing scene :worship:

Leaf mystery solved by reddit

Spoilered for large images

So, what is the story behind Clara's leaf?

Marsh. 10-04-2013 01:37 AM

Wasn't that obvious in the episode?

Scarlett. 10-04-2013 01:38 AM

Not to me, lol D:

GypsyGoth 11-04-2013 12:27 AM

I just finished watching the most recent ep. They make such a great duo

I thought it looked very star warsy will all of the aliens. And the vampire thing was creepy, as were the guys working for him.

It was a pretty good.

I just love Matt's Doctor, I hope he stays for a while yet!

Scarlett. 13-04-2013 11:26 AM

Other than the finale, this is the one I've been most looking forward to, from reviews it appears to be a very good episode.

Scarlett. 13-04-2013 12:02 PM

You're not looking forward to Journey to the centre of the TARDIS? o:

I am, but I'm looking forward to this one more. I'm a bit anxious about that one, we've been waiting for a good look at the rest of the TARDIS for so long and we've heard so much about it that if it would take a pretty amazing set (Michael Pickwoad's a great designer but the budget's not infinite) for it not to be at least slightly disappointing (plus Steve Thompson wrote it).

That one will be a disappointment, most episodes with interesting names like that always are. The Next Doctor, The Doctor's Daughter etc...

Marsh. 13-04-2013 02:52 PM

I can't wait for Hide.

I love a ghost story. I'm getting a "Blink" vibe from the poster, which can only be a good thing.

on now

DigitalSid 13-04-2013 07:03 PM

Loved it, will be interesting to see what nuvians thought of it though, as knowing of and having seen the Ice Warriors more will have no doubt it enhanced it for me. Will say more when I've rewatched it as I spent some bits speculating in my head and missed a few scenes.

This won't be another ND or DD, the disappointment with those is that it wasn't the next Doctor and that she wasn't The Doctor's daughter, we definitely do see a lot of the TARDIS:
Spoiler:

Library, pool and the Eye Of Harmony are all confirmed to appear

Any disappointment will be in the execution, I hope they spent a lot on this episode.

I liked tonights episode. This series has really brought back what I loved about pre-Moffat Doctor Who, while keeping out what I didn't like about RTD Doctor Who. This series has definately benefitted from not having any stupid twists (Having the Doctor 'killed' in S6E1 ruined S6 for me)

Marsh. 14-04-2013 12:27 PM

I loved The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon. I'm not a big fan of Moffat's era, he writes some brilliant stand alone stories but his overall direction for the show has been a mess IMO. The rest of season 6 with River and the resolution to the Doctor "dying" was rubbish but I thought the opening two parter was great. The Silence were a brilliant villain.

As for the new Tardis episode, hope it's better than The Doctor's Wife in terms of production values and sets where they were running down the same plain boring corridor again and again.

The idea of killing the Doctor off in that episode was fantastic, but you just knew they'd have to use a cop out excuse. I have heard a theory that the GI might actually be 'the Silence' and that he's just been manipulating people from behind the scenes.

I hope so too, as long as we get a few "wow, it's really that big?!" moments, I'll be happy, I'm not gonna go in with my hopes too high, though.

I wonder who Delsa are?

Rumour from a reliable spoiler hound on GB, if true HUGE spoiler for the 50th and for the show's future as a whole.
Spoiler:

John Hurt is apparently playing..
Spoiler:

Nine.

No, not Eccleston's incarnation, he will now apparently come to be known as Ten Tennant's as Eleven and Matt Smith's as Twelve. Meaning the next Doctor is actually Thirteen, The Doctor's final incarnation according to the classic series rule established in The Deadly Assassin, which Moffat has claimed still applies, of Time Lord's being limited to 12 regenerations.

Glenn. 17-04-2013 07:26 PM

That's probably the most idiotic thing ever.

Marsh. 17-04-2013 07:34 PM

That doesn't make any sense.

But then again nothing Moffat writes ever does.

Are you sure Hurt isn't just supposed to be the 13th and final incarnation or something and has aged?

It does, if true:

Spoiler:

The Doctor had an incarnation between his Eighth and his Ninth, that he forgot (remember his memory has already been shown to be getting hazy, he could barely remember the Great Intelligence) due to a traumatic event. We never saw Eight become Nine so there's nothing really to contradict this. Not that I'm saying it is true, but it's massive if it is.
