…the start of the Welsh connection/collection, eh…I love that nod to patriotism but as you say, with such a fun twist which makes it perfect…seriously your work and likenesses of the subjects is all just outstanding…:love:…and in this modern world of celebrity, I think it’s so on point ….

…I’m just reading about that movie now…it apparently had the tagline of Marilyn Monroe and "Niagara" a raging torrent of emotion that even nature can't control!…that’s a great tagline, isn’t it…:laugh:…a line from that character/Rose that you’ve portrayed…?….’I'm meeting somebody, just anybody handy, as long as he's a man!…’….I mean honestly that’s so old time Hollywood and so Marilyn, isn’t it…she was that vampy femme fatale with all of the vulnerabilities blended in there as well…

…that’s such an iconic image of Marilyn that you’ve chosen, LaLaLand….it really does show all of the vulnerabilities and uncertainties inside that ‘torrent of emotion’….to give that depth of the person and the character to such an iconic image really is no small thing, you’re an incredible talent and your love of celebrity shines with all of your likenesses…:lovedup:…just gorgeous…

I’ve just today finished a big oil painting of The Beatles (in their full Sgt. Pepper regalia) that I’ve working on for the past mont or so here and there. Will share soon!

…oh I’m so looking forward to see the Beatles one also, @LaLaLand…I don’t know if that’ll be the first time that we’ve seen a group painting by you as opposed to an individual portrait but it’s such an iconic image as well, that’s very exciting…:lovedup:…

Yeah I’ve only ever done a maximum of two people on a painting before, this has all of the “Fab Four”. Really bright and colourful too just in time for summer, with a yellow background. Lovely long, deep canvas. Not too big but a good size.

I’ve finished it exactly a week before a submission deadline for an exhibition I’m hoping to enter it into so I’ve timed that pretty well! :joker:

…isn’t Yesterday the movie going to be adapted into a stage musical also…?…so they’re about to trend like crazy again…it’s fabulous timing for your fabulous four work to be exhibited…!!!!!!…

Great news (at last) - a painting of mine will be exhibited this summer once again (for the second year in a row) in Liverpool’s famous Royal Liver Buildings as part of their Liverpool Art Fair.

So chuffed to get in again. Last year was great.

….ahhhhhhh no..I mean, yes…!!!…:laugh:…no, I want to see the painting now…!!!!!!…but yes, I’m so thrilled/I mean just so thrilled that you and your work are being recognised for the talent you are…your likenesses are incredible and really show the affection you have for your subject as well…so pleased for you and so excited for you…:lovedup:…I know that you had some pretty tough stuff going on toward the end of last year and that was pretty down…and it’s no consolation at the time…?..but the thing is, is the place from that down can often be an up and this is a wonderful up…your talent is so deserving and I’m so glad that’s being realised…:love:…

Aw thanks Ammi. Yeah had a rough old time of it then but I’m doing better now. Getting there slowly. This will help give me a bit of a boost again anyway.
