Thanks, I was wondering what was wrong.

Corkie 28-12-2006 04:17 PM

The American accent is nice.... I don’t have an accent well compared to some people in Newcastle. People can tell I'm from Newcastle though but I have a very little Geordie tone to my voice.

Er…yeah lol, I’ve been to other places as well though such as Florida but have no relatives or people I know or anything there. They all seem to have different accents! At first I thought all Americans had just an ‘American’ accent, but there seems to be loads of variations.

Wow. Ash. You've been to the states?

Yeah, quite a few times.
As if you didn't know that!
Then again, don't think I've told anyone, lol.

MarkWaldorf 28-12-2006 04:43 PM

Haha. Please tell me all about it.
Are you online?

Sol laughed at my accent. He says I over-pronounce my "R". :conf:

I've recorded the whole 2 minutes once...I did it a few days ago and sent it to Jay recently. So now if I want to change it etc. I've got a few days left to sort things, but at least Jay already has a version of it.

I sent mine to BB fernzy earlier, although I may rerecord it. How does this competition work anyway? Do you just post all of the songs and everyone votes or is there more involved?

I'm going to post the songs one by one, the judges will give their comments on each song, and votes will be taken in (to me).
Then the bottom 2 will go head to head, and the judges will pick who is eliminated.

What do we do for the head to head round?

Nothing. I'll probably re-post the songs, and the judges will make a decision on which had the best performance, the one who they choose will return to next weeks sing off.

I did one.... bit hushed me thought..... Did a two mins one should be alright..... Jay says it’s good... have to wait to see what other people think

Legend 28-12-2006 09:17 PM

I'll re-record mine later as i can use another program i got with my new webcam which means i can record the whole of it in 1 part rather than the 2 parts.

Also, don't you think it would be better to let each member have 2/3 votes? That way more votes will be cast so therefore there is less chance of a more than 2-way tie for the least? More chance of getting your bottom 2 easier maybe... ?

But if it's only 1 vote, thats 1 vote out of like 10 acts. And not many votes would be casted. So like, one could get 5 and the rest could just 1 or 0. and 3/4 people could who 0 making it harder for the bottom two acts.

That's a good idea. Maybe each member should vote for their top 3, for example:

1. +3 points
2. +2 points
3. +1 point

or something along those lines to reduce the risk of a tie.

Legend 28-12-2006 09:33 PM

Ooh great minds and all that, eh Mark?

Yeah, good idea Anthony - sounds like a really good idea actually. It is all up to Chrizzle at the end of the day though, lol. Oh and very nice name Anthony.

MarkWaldorf 28-12-2006 09:37 PM
