Torrie tactical voting saved Clegg's arse really.

Clegg will go and he probably needs to do for the sake of his party. A lot of the stick he gets is unwarranted imo and people will probably appreciate what he did a lot more in a few years time but his position now is untenable and the Lib Dems will only be able to recover with a completely new face to the party

Ruling out the idea of another coalition?

Shaun 08-05-2015 04:05 AM

I was rather hoping Balls would take over as Labour leader :(

Jack_ 08-05-2015 04:07 AM

Please don't let Balls lose his seat as well, the right wing press will have a field day

Yeah I don't think there will be another one tbh, Lib Dems have lost most their main players and will have too few seats to have much influence at all, and tbh the Tories may as well govern with a strong minority rather than having to make concessions to the motley rump of the Lib Dems. 9 or 10 Lib Dem MPs will have no chance of persuading over 300 Tory ones to not have an EU referendum and things like that. I think Clegg will be gone this time tomorrow and the Lib Dems will look to rebuild, a process they can carry out better if they're not in government

Yeah that makes sense

Sadly Clegg's the only leader I've ever liked a lot

Kizzy 08-05-2015 04:18 AM
