it's funny, cause they are really hard to find using advanced search (so far I haven't managed to find not one of them, both for Marc and Danny, and all we see are pictures, rather than links - are any of them even real?)

It wouldn't surprise me if they aren't. Though I did just provide a link myself I find it all rather distasteful. But Marc's fans did start doing all this so it was bound to escalate. Helen seems to do a lot of this sort of thing as well I've noticed.

Problem is though that nothing really nasty has been found on marc. Danny's stuff is in a different league IMO.

The tweet in my sig was this year and is outrageous,

Well, I've just posted one example of Marc using a racial slur.

Two years ago. He may have changed since then.

Perhaps he was provoked with such slurs. Do you have the conversation in context?

goldensunlight 02-07-2015 02:04 AM

To me, this appears as though Marc is tweeting it in a non-serious context, hence the usage of 'mate' in there.

Honestly, I'm done now. I have a firm idea of your opinion on homophobic slurs and racial slurs and I think that your opinion is ****ing gross.

Sometimes words are offensive.. obviously. I can only imagine that you're, middle-classed, cisgendered, heterosexual and white... And actually you've even said in this thread that 2 of the above are true. You obviously have no idea what discrimination feels like and you've made it clear that you have a lack of empathy for those that do.

You've made several posts in this thread and others which defend Marcs behaviour by comparing it to Dannys and its awful that you assume it makes either of them okay. You've also said that its okay to use the N word because other people use it more often and its okay to use the f word because some homosexuals say it to their friends. Your rationale behind excusing disgusting behaviour is something that I will never wrap my mind around. It is disgusting. Not only are you generalising all gay and black people by claiming that they typically use these words and none of them are offended by them, you believe that neither you or them are ever in the wrong for doing so.

I hope this post will give you some sort of perspective about how your words in this thread appeared to be written but I fear it will just spur you on to look for more of the attention that you are clearly craving.

I don't think marc means anything in a nasty way.

These individual tweets taken out of context tell us nothing. If we see the whole context then we would probably see the other person tweeting similar things to marc.

Is rap music racist if white/asian people hear & sing it if it includes slur?

Are LGBT members bigots if they use certain language?

This is being blown out of proportion...

I'm disabled. I know exactly what discrimination feels like. I just don't want to play the victim and feign offence at every little thing that anyone says.

Now, because you are trying to make this so personal, and because you have asked me to, I am going to put you on my ignore list.

Toodle pip.

By saying someone is indifferent to racism & homophobia...

This entire topic is becoming toxic.

My recent post wasn't in reply to just one of theirs, it was the way the came across throughout the thread, and several others. It was disgusting and unsettling. I'm not going to find all of the posts that this member has used which appeared incredibly nasty and I don't expect you to search for them but in this thread and others, the member has defended simply disgraceful behaviour and consistantly used the examples to apply to their own life. The user quoted me at least 100 times in the last week, genuinely not exaggerating, in these posts, I personally believed the user actively attempted to offend either myself or others and I have found their behaviour in this thread alone to be no different. Hopefully Thriceshy was true to their word and put me on their ignore list because I have lost my patience with their blunt a cruel attitude.

These are the pertinent questions and I doubt anyone will answer them.

How dare somebody release a song with a word in it then cry racism when somebody sings the song, just because they are white?

The PC brigade are ruining this country and they ruined BB years ago.

I don't really know about others but from what I see this forum is full of funny people with opinions that make me laugh about BB & the HM's.
Not everyone can agree, that is the joys of a ignore button I suppose...

If people are violent or actively being racist/homophobe then there is a problem.
But when innocent people who for the majority of their life are law abiding citizens are acused of horrible things it is injustice.
Or when something is said in jest or provoke thought.

I don't think Marc is a homophobe/racist
I don't think Danny is a bully/sexist

Some people simply cannot take being disagreed with. Sad, but there it is.

And in two separate threads tonight, I have had someone trying desperately to make the conversation about me. It isn't about me. I want to discuss the housemates and the housemates only.

I have put both posters on ignore actually and hopefully that will be an end to it.

But someone openly admitting to want to get you banned is just odd. Stalker type odd.

This place is worse than DS sometimes.

It is true. I don't think either of them are racist or homophobic.

But I do think Danny is a bully based on his behaviour in the house.

I meant the users other posts, not the other members. You're right, posts are often light hearted and fun, you'll like it here.

Not to add fuel to the fire but how about people have a read of this

I'm kind of torn with him. He seems to think that by standing up to Marc it is getting in the good graces with the viewers.
Whereas I think the majority of the house is bullying him & not just Danny alone.
They seemed to be getting along for a while but then Danny started becoming petty with Marc regularly.
Marc could snap him like a twig anyway.
