Well I think the fact that the show has run its course plays a large part in why people are bored of it now (as much as the kind of decisions that are made tbh), I don't remember Leona's series overly well but obviously only being the third series people were hooked on it and it was seen as better than it really was most likely more than if it were to air now, but the point I'm wanting to make here is that what is the real problem is how it's declined. It was inevitable after 13 years anyway but the quality of the show is terrible, it has become painfully obvious how set up and fake it all is and that's where the problem lies.
The Voice's main problem is the coaches imo and the format isn't the best either. Plus people are literally just burnt out on singing shows now. I enjoy entertainment, but I don't enjoy seeing the same thing happen year after year where genuinely talented people are eliminated at the expense of viewing value.
If up-tempo songs are slowed down though then people just moan about them dodging the theme and not being able to do anything different. :worry:

Yeah I agree that given how long the show has been on air it was always going to decline in popularity at some point, though I am confident had they not ****ed up the panel in 2011 and stuck to the winning formula of the previous two years that they'd have been able to milk the extraordinary ratings for a couple more series, and that may have in turn lessened the damage when it came to the figures these days. The thing is though is that what you're describing goes back like seven years, the manipulation and fakeness was just as prevalent in the glory years of 09 and 10 as it is now and yet it was still a roaring success? I do agree with the people who say the joke acts aren't as funny as they used to be (and I'm not sure how that can be rectified), but thoroughly disagree that joke acts shouldn't be a part of the show at all. They're actually quite essential as far as I'm concerned. And to be fair, you were/are a fan of Jedward and Rylan so it does seem a bit odd for you to be complaining about this
Well The Voice's new panel is piss poor that's for sure, but I think it goes beyond 'names' and more about their interaction with each other. Like I said in another thread, it's a massive love-in, everyone's ~amazing~, and that's just dull  give me Sharon throwing water over Louis, Gary saying Tulisa has fag ash breath, Cheryl and Louis bickering etc etc any day. And yeah, the format is also a mess. The only thing I'd say to your last sentence is that really, 'genuinely talented people' aren't partaking in shows like X Factor  or conversely, even if they are eliminated early if they're that good they'll be picked up anyway
That is true but so long as everyone doesn't change the arrangement of the songs I've never had much of an issue
