This year most teams have left the business till the end

Drew. 24-08-2017 05:21 PM

Not really.. over 1 billion has been spent, most of the big moves happened early on too

Denver 24-08-2017 05:55 PM

Still a lot of big moves to come

No idea why he said that cuz its been a typical Wenger window for me. Its another of his nonsensical statements - like he wanted the transfer window to be shorter. If we lose to Liverpool on Sunday - and I think we will - I expect Wenger to go into panic buy mode.

Could be an exciting few days with liverpool wanting VVD, Renano Sanches, Ox and Thomas Lemar

Locke. 28-08-2017 10:02 AM

Lemar would be a smart signing. We look incredible going forward now but if one of Mane/Salah get injured then suddenly we look quite weak out wide. Having the 3 of them competing for those 2 spots would be great.

Don't want Ox though, bang average.

This is embarrassing for Arsenal now

Wenger said Monaco wouldnt sell him yet Monaco will accept Liverpol's bid if they find a replacement

Denver 28-08-2017 10:32 AM

Mignolet to Napoli is one to watch out for

Denver 28-08-2017 11:41 AM

The transfer of Lemar needs to be agreed today or it wont happen.

Liverpool have offered £70 million including add ons and willing to send Origi on loan to Monaco

GiRTh 28-08-2017 12:08 PM

Whats this? I thought, according to Wenger, Monaco are keeping Lemar for the new season. So looks like Wenger was talking sh*t again. I dont think he realises how much work that team needs. This is not gonna end well for him.

Denver 28-08-2017 01:18 PM

Apparently Monaco rejected it and Liverpool went back with an extra 10 million

Brother Leon 28-08-2017 01:54 PM

Lemar and a CB with the Coutinho money would be good business by the Scousers.

Denver 28-08-2017 01:58 PM

Liverpool are close to signing Naby Keita with him staying on loan at RBL till next summer

But Wenger said Monaco dont want to sell, so its abit of a head scratcher why Liverpool have even made a bid. It looks like Wenger wasnt being completely truthful

Obviously he refused to meet the valuation and is covering his tracks

Cant blame Ox TBH. I think Wenger was only putting him in the side to try and get him to stay when it was clear he wanted to go. Good luck to him, he's been the victim of Wengers indecision over the years; in terms of playing Ox out Of position and never giving him an extended run in the side in one position. I'm sure that if he'd stayed he'd have been back as a rotation player in a few weeks. He's better than Moses so I can see Ox getting in the Chelsea side. I think he's gonna be the first of a few players leaving Arsenal this season.

Brother Leon 28-08-2017 07:25 PM

Alexis is next out. No chance Arsenal sell to us again after RVP so City it is unfortunately.

And I think Ozil still has a big enough reputation in Germany to force a move before his contract runs down, so all in all it dont look good.

Less than a week ago Wenger claimed we'd had a good transfer window and everything was great. :joker:
