I listened to what he said today, and as ever the scaremongers are deliberately misinterpreting what he said. Very tedious.

bots 04-06-2019 08:04 PM

i thought his speech was a good one and well rehearsed. I don't think he has an issue with the UK, I think his feelings are quite genuine with regard to the UK.

Still don't think he is a good president though, and hope his time in that office is limited.

How do you misinterpret him saying the NHS would be on the table on a trade deal with the UK.
I don't happen to scaremonger.

That's exactly what he said.
The NHS would be on the table and more.

What is tedious is people thinking the NHS is really safe with the likes of Farage and Trump.

Good luck to you if you believe that is so.
For goodness sake, even the health secretary has responded strongly to Trumps statement.

Scaremongering you call it.
I call it facts, it's what your Trump said, no one else.

Crimson Dynamo 04-06-2019 08:15 PM

Labour have sold more of the NHS than anyone..

joeysteele 04-06-2019 09:06 PM

Now he's attempting to row back.

Honestly you can't trust what he says.

Sometimes I wonder if he really knows what he means.
To say one thing and then backtrack in such a short time, is really concerning.

However his latter views are the right ones and I'd agree I do not see how the NHS is something to be on the table.

Although, he could be saying the same thing he said earlier in a few days.
What a disaster of a President.

People see and hear what they want to see and hear

Livia 05-06-2019 09:33 AM

I don't think in that moment he knew what he was talking about, I think he said "everything's on the table" because he wasn't immediately sure about the NHS.

I think even this government know there is no way people would accept the US tinkering with our NHS.

All has to be on the table re trade deal with the USA.
Including the NHS.

I believe Matt Hancock when he says he'd never allow it.
He isn't going to be the next PM however.

It's Trump and the US guy at the weekend who are saying the NHS needs to be included in trade deals with the US.
No one else.
No one but Farage or Trump supporters want it included.

Hardly lies, when Trump said it himself.
Or to you can he do no wrong.

Well said Joey

Exactly Livia,i thought he hasn't got a clue just how important or massive the NHS is and he must have had so much on his mind, lol, glad someone put him right to which he later took his words back.

Safe journey home to POTUS, FLOTUS and the Trump family, do come back soon.
