This applies to pretty much every single celebrity slip up but it seems that people NEVER learn that repeatedly engaging and apologising only prolongs the attention and actually ensures that people DO remember.

Unless something starts being drawn out, the "general public" (and especially social media) has a very, very short memory. He'd probably even have been back on the beeb in a couple of years, but he's making it worse with the follow-up comments.

It's pretty clear from that that he isn't sorry at all, so then anything he comes out with subsequent to that is tainted. I thought it was both sad and ridiculous that the front page of a newspaper shared two stories... the birth of the royal baby and the fact that someone posted a poor-taste joke on Twitter.

There is a slither of a chance that he doesn't know anything at all about Meghan nor her heritage because she's not exactly Serena Williams, is she. Some people have no interest at all in the royal family and know nothing about them, did not watch the wedding, don't care whether they had a baby or not.

I don't know anything about Danny Baker. I'm neither a fan nor a hater, but I think the pitchforks can go away now.
