I'm now having an anxiety attack at the idea of 100 TiBB members submitting their answers in this game :worry: I'd have to take sick leave

Ammi 25-08-2020 11:09 AM

..I think that I better go before anyone thinks that I’m really, really, really dumb and not just really, really dumb...

Yeah, just 1 point though because it'd be framed from the point of view of "I scored 1 point because 1 other player said the same answer as me". Or, "I scored 7 points with Boris Yeltsin because 7 other members said Boris Yeltsin", etc.

They would get 2 points if it was a correct answer, you're penalised for giving a wrong answer (21 in this case as there were 21 players)

Ammi 25-08-2020 11:11 AM

...I’m still confused....I’ll just plod on...

...okay, yeah...I totally get that now ...it was because he wasn’t actually executed as such...so that’s the only time that the 21 would apply...dohhhh, I get it now....

Ammi 25-08-2020 11:13 AM

...yeah, just let it go I think...it was a fair answer...

Ammi 25-08-2020 11:16 AM

...apologies...my only excuse is that this is the first time I’ve played Pointless, I think...and it’s not something I’ve watched much, I doubt that I’ve watched a whole episode...

Shaun 25-08-2020 11:19 AM

Yeah don't worry about it lol, I can imagine it's confusing to the uninitiated.

I've edited all Qs into the OP since we're already four pages in today :D bloody Boris...

It's a tricky grey area... not known if he actually intended to commit suicide or it was an accident caused through the execution process. I'm on the fence on this.

We demand blood! It’s wrong!

Jessica. 25-08-2020 11:22 AM

BLOOD

A bit of a disaster of a round for most, but well done to MTVN and our runners-up, MB and Jake :clap1:

I did think of people like Ann Boleyn for the famous person executed in the UK Top Answers question, but I put Ruth Ellis because the I don't think the name United Kingdom was used back in the times of the other names given.

I put Iraq War because it was more recent, but I was also thinking that 'after Word War 2' might lead people to think Vietnam War.

...what I’m learning this morning, James...is that doesn’t have to be a precise answer...

James 25-08-2020 11:41 AM

Yeah, there are no wrong answers in the Top Answers game.

Calderyon 25-08-2020 11:48 AM

No blood.

Thanks for adding my points. Yass at Pointless. What a disaster in top answers. It said Tang was the most powerful and I thought Bell would be more known.

MTVN 25-08-2020 01:04 PM

Turns out my degree in History wasn't a waste of time after all :smug:

MTVN 25-08-2020 01:06 PM

I'm surprised at people putting Holland considering the Netherlands is often still referred to as that. I was tossing up between Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia for that one and chose the wrong one

1. Name an ex-husband of Cheryl Tweedy
2. Name a TV show with "Celebrity" in the title other than "Celebrity Big Brother" (or its spinoffs :oh: )
3. Name a winner of Strictly Come Dancing
4. Name someone who is famous for being a "WAG" ('Wife and Girlfriend' of a footballer)
5. Name a famous cat
6. Name someone who has presented the UK daytime TV show 'This Morning'
7. Name a celebrity who died in 2016
8. Name a (present or former) cast member of 'Made in Chelsea'
9. Name a gossip magazine that is, or has been, in circulation in the UK
10. Name a celebrity whose first name is John

For the Pointless edition: most of these questions are pretty open and there shouldn't really be a problem; for Made in Chelsea they must have appeared in at least 2 episodes. For question 2 it must be an english title. Otherwise, this is a lot easier than the other rounds, I think!
