Just delaying the inevitable. If he is that convinced that he is the man for the job, he should call a snap GE. That way he, and Zizu, will see that the popularity he had in 2019 has long gone.

The betting odds are in

According to the betting odds tracking website Oddschecker - the race to be the next Prime Minister is currently led by Penny Mordaunt.
She has odds of 9/2 from Bet365, William Hill and BetVictor, despite being widely considered as a dark-horse candidate.

Rishi Sunak is backed as the joint-favourite by Bet365 and William Hill, and is in second place for a host of others, and is one of the clear front-runners.

Sajid Javid, whose resignation just before Mr Sunak’s
kick-started the Cabinet revolt, is the third-favourite for most bookmakers, with odds of around 8/1.

And being honest he only won that because Corbyn was called an "IRA sympathiser" which in the UK will nuke anyones chances.

Boris has never really been that popular, and it's being exposed now that the Media can't go around calling all of his foes IRA sympathisers.

I do like Boris, but his time has been and gone, he needs to put the party before himself.

Yeah he needs to go.

I do feel sorry for him a bit because he must be so stressed. The pressure is just enormous.

He's been given a really hard time and I completely get why, but when you look at president biden for example, the media are so tame when he can't even string a sentence together. The media were awful with Donald trump.

Having said that, you put yourself in that position when you go for prime minister.

We live in a country that has been so destroyed by tories, that we now have security tags on cheese in the supermarkets. Biden is useless but he's not purposefully cruel.

Security tags on cheese? I have never seen this. Maybe very expensive cheese.

You're correct about the butter, but I wasn't on about that - another example of tory Britain.

AnnieK 06-07-2022 08:05 PM

Just read the butter thing.....£9 for a tub of butter is unbelievable

Must be where you live?

Also yeah Asda.

I don't go in there unless I have to, some very unsavoury characters shop there

5th richest country in the world, for the record, locking £4.50 blocks of cheese behind security tags.

Well it's not everywhere though, is it?

There's some very povertised areas in the UK and with poverty comes crime.

bots 06-07-2022 08:12 PM

they will attach tags where they think theft could be an issue, i don't see whats wrong in that and security tags have been attached to inexpensive items for decades if there is a risk of theft

When prices are rising there will always be 2 angles, genuine increase due to production costs, and opportunism. It has always been the same no matter what government are in power
