I'm consistent.

If I start feeling direct sunlight, I'm going to boil.

And if there's ice on the roads, then I'm out of commission.:joker:

The Sauvage ad with Johnny Depp. If I never again see him strumming away pretending to play Wild Thing, surrounded by wolves, it would please me.

I’m in the minority here but I hate international football teams having foreign born players in them .

It makes the whole thing pointless when you get large numbers in there like Germany regularly did years ago ..

Currently we have…

Spain playing French born CB

Italy’s key player is a Brazilian born holding midfielder

I am sure there are many more

Is that really a minority opinion though?

Surely we all want national teams to have players that have at least been educated through that particular country's education system, to actually then play for that country.

It's why Haaland should be playing for England, he was born and brought up in Leeds.

I apologize for going political here.

But why does whenever left leaning policies happen in society, do some of the right (not all) go straight to the "protect the kids" or "think of the children" type of mindset, even if the topic has nothing remotely to do with harming kids?

But people who don't know much about heavy depression don’t know how far the train goes inside the bottom-most pits of hell and torture. It really is a horrible set of illnesses. If you say otherwise it’s just because you don’t know what severe or even moderate types of depression look like. Simple.

… ya. Again, the fact that so many people out there (including those who should definitely know better) don’t know just-how severe depression can be. That depression can be psychotic and often is shouldn’t be a drastically shocking revelation. It’s just a basic fact and one that’s been much-known in the right circles for thousands of years. There’s nothing new or ground-breaking abar it, still.

Why constructive criticism gets classed as bullying nowadays?

….hmmmmm, maybe it is bullying all dressed up in the clothing of constructive criticism…I’m not saying that it is because I have no idea what’s being referred to but that is also an equal thing to consider…

I'm thinking whenever anyone has an issue with anything really, there's always a group of people on the Internet that will think that you should just "shut up" and not discuss your issues about whatever the topic is about.

I don't like how some people just want forced positivity.

I hate anything that's not based on either merit or giving someone a chance at something as a punt (basically to see if you can strike gold with the unknown.)

As soon as the reason is either DEI or because their name is Wayne Rooney related, that's me losing respect for that particular product for the time being.

…it isn’t about ‘forced positivity’, it’s about realising that some things may be constructive criticism but that bullying can also use that to hide its true nature and that’s the truth of it also…sadly with social media and how we communicate in these times, it’s very much ‘evolved’ into that vein also…

Obviously bullying should never be acceptable, I do get what you're saying on that.

I think my three main areas where I feel like constructive criticism just gets frowned upon in some corners, and I really don't agree with any of them.

1. Politics.

2. Video Games if they have poor quality + how the industry is currently treating their employees.

And 3. If a TV Show is having writing issues.

Some people will think that you're out of order if you dare to have something negative to say, or are just questioning things in any one of those three fields in general.

How morbid people get as they get older. I’m a health-and-disorder buff myself but people who pretty-much just talk about health problems? Ugh.

Redway 18-06-2024 04:28 PM

Extraverts who insist on making libraries hubs for constant talking too much to people who don’t want to be bothered.

This current cucumber-stew trend that’s been doing the round in certain circles (if you know, you know). Just. Make. It. Stop.

Mystic Mock 19-06-2024 10:50 PM

Cheesy slogans.

A couple of days ago on the Euros, I saw one of the billboards say "every child is a champion" and it just made me hardcore cringe.

I get that UEFA is saying it for a good cause (I have no issues in that area,) but what's with everything having to be so cheesy in it's delivery? It's not even got the tongue in cheek vibe that the 80's & 90's were so good at when doing or saying something cheesy.

The fact that we live in such an unfair world that for some people calling Samaritans is the highlight of their day.

It shows us that there's something very wrong with the way society currently is in my view.

It’s been much worse in that regard. Nothing current about it, Mock, it does have to be said.

Current society has probably been like this since the 80's.

That's my covering of current society anyway.
