Rightly felt like the worst and most selfish person on the face of the planet and confirmed to myself that I am in fact awful. ……that’s tough, it’s not an easy thing to do but continuing the relationship would have deepened those feelings that they have but it could never have any feel good to know someone that you care about is emotionally bruised and you feel responsibility for that…?…but you’re not responsible for someone else’s feeling being more or stronger than yours….you can only act on what you yourself feels right and to continue something that didn’t feel right, somehow…?…would have left you not feeling great with yourself, wouldn’t it…I think that it’s just sadly one of those situations that just isn’t great in that there will be hurt involved but it’s unavoidable and sometimes it just is…?…we try, it doesn’t work and we have to say goodbye because that’s also the only thing that will enable that other person to heal and move forward…?…

…you are not in fact awful, not even slightly so…you’ve done something that you felt was essential to do…(…for both of you…)…and you feel bad and low about it because you’re the furthest thing from awful……

I lost my grandfather the other day, so my OH has taken me down to Tenby to hike around the Pembrokeshire coast for the weekend so I can recompose myself.

He prepared a charcuterie board and port for tonight too as he knows it’s one of my fave meals. He’s honestly such a gem for that.

You’re not awful, you’re human. And it will feel like you’re the worst person in the world ending it, but if you know it’s not right, ending it sooner rather than later is better for both you. Hope you’re ok.

Prepped some veggies for use throughout the next few days
Cut my hair, showered and did my wavy hair routine
Cooked stuffed mushrooms for lunch
Relaxing at the in-law's house now

Went out with my sister and my brother for coffee.

Now sat in bed with my dressing gown on.

Will do a workout soon

Not a nice situation all around, but will be best for all involved

Up at stupid o'clock to run my son to the tram station as he is helping with his Cadets at the Manchester Half Marathon today. Now finding things to clean while waiting for him to rung so I can pick him up again avoiding all the road closures

Gusto Brunt 13-10-2024 01:05 PM

Went to Iceland. Washed some clothes. Now sitting down and eating two pies. :D

Today we’re heading home. Stopped in a farm shop for beef and veg. Will cook a nice roast when home.

Just been hiking in the alps. Heading back to London now though

Crimson Dynamo 13-10-2024 01:35 PM

I found my fingerless gloves

Niamh. 13-10-2024 01:59 PM

Not much really, lounged around, watched TV, looked at my phone. I'll make dinner in a bit

Lovely day here today and yesterday it poured down so the earth was just perfect for bulb planting

hopefully in the Spring we will have an array of snowdrops, crocus, daffs, tulips and bluebells if the pesky squirrels leave them in the ground

Played a round of golf. Hit 39 for the front nine, then 43 for the back nine. I should have gone under 80 today, 2 chip ins from inside 20 feet helped.

Cant be bothered to look up my golfing thread, so this will do in here.

crikey, did you kick her out of bed ....or tell her on her way to work...why so early.... anyhow I hope you are both okay, if you were unsure it was for the best.
