since the big show is coming back i wouldn't be surprised if one of the last places go to him.

Dan_ 27-01-2008 08:31 PM

I reckon he'll probably be one of the 5 unknowns too.

Seeing as Chris Harris and Ron Killings have signed from TNA they might also be in line for a place.

Stu 27-01-2008 11:03 PM

Triple H and The Undertaker all the way.

Triple H is my pick for tonight. This is definately the start of the games climb back into the title picture full time after being out of it since 2 years ago. Expect him to go on and win Mania'. On that note it could only possibly be Orton who he could beat it for , so Hardys chances look bleak for tonight , unless they let him have it for only about a month , but that would be an awkward pothole in the 'one man dynasty' Triple H seems destined to tear down.

I would love to see Hardy get it though.

And finnaly! PPV back in Madison Square!

Dan_ 28-01-2008 12:10 AM

I reckon it will be Triple H or Taker too.I expect a strong showing from CM Punk too, top 4 place.

Not WWE but still wrestling related, has anyone seen TNA lately? I'm just done watching some long time curtain jerker called sharkboy take up about 20 minutes of the latest impact impersonating Stone Cold Steve Austin but with a shark theme to it! After coming out of a coma he suddenly demands matches and gets them and despite not being given medical clearance he just goes and wrestles anyway, they've not even booked top stars like this in the past but suddenly a jobbers in the forefront of everything.Jay Lethal who's been acting like Randy Savage for weeks has now started talking like Shawn Michaels. Why do they keep turning wrestlers into copy's of WWE stars? What's going to be next? Bobby Roode as Akeem?

They've turned three of the best wrestlers in the company into jokes.Christopher Daniels is much dead to the show right now.AJ Styles has just been turned into a complete and utter clown and Samoa Joe's started to somewhat randomly put people through tables, like he's some kind of apprentice Dudley Boy and keeps ripping up contracts to face various people. After hating on Kevin Nash for weeks, he saves him from a beating from Matt Morgan.Kurt Angle offers his wife to Tomko for some reason or another.

Black Reign aka Goldust in a bin bag with what looks like leaking milk pattern, beat some other bloke in a rat on a pole match!

None of it makes any sense. This is what you get when you put Vince Russo in charge of booking, sure he had success back in the attitude era but after that he's been so ridiculous. He turns up with pages of ideas and all of it is stupid. If this is what actually gets put on the shows then I dread to think of the manure that doesn't get implemented into the shows.

"Hello everyone, I'm Vince Russo.I've got an idea, let's do an angle where Tomko becomes infected with aids and put him a barbed wire match, it'll be controversial so it'll draw ratings!"

...WHAT THE ****?

Redmond 28-01-2008 02:18 PM

Rumble was really good. Cena man, whether you love or hate the guy you cannot deny he gets people off their seats, that pop he got was HUGE, I totally wasn't expecting him to be in the match.

I'm disappointed once again that he will be main eventing Mania, both Mania's I've been too he's main evented and I wanted a change but hey I'm sure a Cena/Orton match will get the crowd going.

Loved Santino last night, he was well over with the NY crowd. Taker/HBK starting 1 and 2 was good. And loved the Piper/Snuka bit. :D

Disappointed that Hardy didn't win the title and also the match wasn't as good as I was expecting.

But overall good PPV.

Get set for another endless title reign from 'The Champ'...

Dan_ 28-01-2008 05:20 PM

Well I certainly didn't see that coming

Sarah. 28-01-2008 06:47 PM

(amy style rant)
I AM so angry!!!! John Cena won!!!:mad::mad: Why does he have to headline WM AGAIN?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Jericho ****eddd up, and i didnt enjoy the match.

Randy retained and at least thats the one good thing about the Rumble.

62 days til Randy loses the title to Cena.. im guessing.

Stu 29-01-2008 03:50 PM

Judging by the announced No Way Out matches , 2 wrestlemania matches are happening a month early and a challenger to the title who is NOT John Cena is still to be decided.

Looks like things are going to get more interesting.

Im thinking thery will give the title to John early so he can go into wrestlemania with it against Triple H [and hopefully lose , but I doubt it].

I would have preffered a long build up with The One Man Dynsasty Vs. The Returning champ at Mania'.

Sarah. 29-01-2008 03:52 PM

Yeah, John will probably win the title at No Way out and HHH will win the chamber. Great.

Dan_ 29-01-2008 04:38 PM

They just had to get the title back on Cena so soon after his return, bloody idiots!

I bet Orton will be stuck feuding with Flair afterwards.

Redmond 29-01-2008 04:56 PM

I'm actually bored of the Cena hate now, so I'm going to give him a chance on his return, you can't deny the guys passion and love for the business and although he's not the greatest wrestler ever it's hard to not see that he gets fans speaking and cheering or booing, he gets big reactions.

I reckon he'll beat Orton for the title at No Way Out, which I have no problem with really as Orton has been quite disappointing as a champion, I'm not sure if that's just because he gets buried nearly every week on Raw or not. But I don't want Triple H to win the chamber match because we saw Triple H vs Cena at Mania a couple of years ago and I was there live then and although it was great I don't really want to see it again.

Dan_ 29-01-2008 05:06 PM

My only real problem with Cena is the way that he's booked. It's just inevitable that he will end up getting the title back at the first attempt and then go on and keep it for a while.I just don't see the need him always being the champion and overcoming the odds again and again using the same old move set.

His comeback was good as it was so unexpected and that's what you want from wrestling but Cena's future is too predictable for me.

Sarah. 29-01-2008 05:11 PM

I used to be a big Cena fan but slowly started to change my mind about him, just because he was the champ for so long, and now he's back, it's just obvious that Cena's going to be the champ in no time, and Randys title reign means almost nothing now. It's not Orton's fault his reign hasn't been great, it's mainly how he was booked, such as losing to Ric Flair, and getting SCM every week for 6 weeks, from being the brutal Legend Killer before he was champ, then to a guy who was being buried all the time, as the champion, didn't make sense.
Cena doesn't need to be the WWE champion, I just hate it how the WWE must always have him in the main event or the champ. They should listen to the chants he gets everyweek, I think they just block the "Cena Sucks" chants out and concentrate on the girls screaming.

Ruth*Star 29-01-2008 05:13 PM

If he doesn't win the title on his first attempt and wins it somewhere down the line, in a about 4ish months, maybe i'll be okay with cena coming back early but i just don't want him winning the title so soon after his return, if anyone Jeff Hardy should be winning the title of Randy, when randy loses it.

Sarah. 29-01-2008 05:23 PM

Chris Jericho should soo win the chamber, but it won't happen.
These few months will probably be so predictable.

Ruth*Star 29-01-2008 06:01 PM

I know, that's why i have enjoyed the past 4 months, its been exciting and not really predictable.

Sarah. 29-01-2008 06:16 PM

Yep, guess we'll have to get used to the usual "The champ is heeeeree!" and that stupid finisher called the FU.
and his annoying music.

Redmond 30-01-2008 11:53 AM

There are going to be TWO elimination chamber matches at No Way Out! Confirmed on Smackdown last night it will be Batista vs Undertaker vs MVP vs Finlay vs Khali vs Big Daddy V for the chance to face the World Champion at Mania. Two EC's in one night may be a bit over the top.

Anyway back on to Cena, I think the reason he's always booked in the main event is because he sells tickets, whether people want to come to cheer him or come to boo him, either way he provokes a reaction from people and gets people off their seats, so that's why he is always in the main event.

Agree completely.

Also , two elimination chambers on one show? I dont consider it overkill and im certianly not going to complain , but if wwe is doing this to get buyrates that are sagging worse than Mae Youngs tits up then they will need to improve the storylines , let fans actualy express themselves for a change [that means no taking down signs - thats pathetic , especially with the crap they sprout about loving the fans] , and actualy create a little tension.

That means no 16 month long Cena reigns!

Dan_ 30-01-2008 09:40 PM

They certainly need to improve the storylines, too much time is centred around Hornswoggle and Vince now, how is having a midget wrestler being part of a major storyline going to help things?

I hope we get some kind of major stable soon, things are developing fairly well over on Smackdown with Edge and co.

Redmond 31-01-2008 10:24 AM

Raw ratings reached 4 million this week, the highest ratings for a non-special Raw since the one after last years Wrestlemania. So you can't deny Cena didn't help those ratings, love or hate the guy he makes the company successful in terms of business.

No Way Out is shaping up to be quite a good card:

WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs John Cena

World Championship
Edge (c) vs Rey Mysterio

Raw Elimination Chamber
Triple H vs HBK vs Jericho vs JBL vs Umaga vs Jeff Hardy

Smackdown Elimination Chamber
Undertaker vs Batista vs MVP vs Finlay vs Great Khali vs Big Daddy V

Career Threatening Match
Ric Flair vs Mr Kennedy

Sarah. 31-01-2008 04:17 PM

Is No Way Out on PPV here?
