I'm sure they don't. They have loads and loads of sources of money, but dont count them at all at once. Otherwise they'd start with a huge number and only go up a a few million in a night. They gradually count all the fundraising money through out the night and add it to the phone call donations. Builds tension I guess.

The whole thing is done in a very clever way. It amazes me how they count everything in one night. I think the total raised is only an estimate anyway. Surely they cant count everything.
