Should have been a win, cannot believe the amount of chances missed. The ref was bloody awful.

Locke. 08-11-2008 12:36 PM

Good first half at the emirates, Utd should have scored about 3 times, and so should have Arsenal. Still think it will end 2-2.

Locke. 08-11-2008 12:53 PM

2-0

Dan_ 08-11-2008 12:54 PM

I suppose playing against another side top side has brought out the best in Arsenal, they just struggle against overly physical sides.

Dan_ 08-11-2008 03:58 PM

FT:Leicester City 3-0 Stevenage Borough. No complaints with the result really, just got outplayed by a better side, which I expected to be honest.First twenty minutes we played really well and Morison should have put us a goal up but once they scored it was pretty much one way traffic. We did have a good spell in the last 10 minutes of the game and once again Morison missed a good chance.

BigSister 08-11-2008 04:14 PM

0-0 for us just glad were in the draw. Will prob lose when we go to Trammre though but you never know. First time we are in 2nd round draw since we did well in 2003

Dan_ 08-11-2008 04:25 PM

Good result Becca, thought you had a chance of getting a draw there. We haven't got past the first round in about 3 years now.

BigSister 08-11-2008 04:27 PM

Dan_ 08-11-2008 04:30 PM

BigSister 08-11-2008 04:33 PM

Rafa Benitez today warned Liverpool's Premier League rivals that Fernando Torres could return stronger than ever after an enforced rest.
The one silver lining of a hamstring tear sustained on international duty is that Torres has benefitted from the kind of break he didn't get in the summer due to Euro 2008.

Benitez said: "Having him back fitter and stronger than before can have a massive effect on this team and help Liverpool a great deal.

"It is true we were worried about his fitness when he came back after the summer and after such a long season he was not at his best level.

"But now he has had a rest and we are hoping to bring him back ready to play to his true level.

"We have managed to win in his absence and keep pace in the league and now we have Torres back fitter and stronger, so it has been a good period for us."

El Nino could make his first start since October 5 at White Hart Lane in the fourth round of the Carling Cup tonight in a bid to gain match fitness.

Benitez added: "Torres back means we can change players and give them the rest they need. It will help them all get to the top level they are capable of.

"When you consider that we are getting good results without our players being at their top level, the return of Torres at his best can have a big impact."

Yeah it was planned, too. They were sending out leaflets to get more people to do it. Apparently there was meant to be a boycott and when the minutes silence started, people were meant to get up and leave.

Thing is... most (obviously) Celtic fans are Scottish - what about if their family members fight in the war? Also, there's Irish battalions. It just doesn't make sense.

Obviously it's just a small number of fans, but still

BigSister 14-11-2008 10:46 AM

meh not as bad as i thought it was the way my dad was going on I thought it was 3-5
Still im happy in a way as leagues more important

Locke. 15-11-2008 12:47 PM

Good decision by the referee at the end of the first half there. Comfortable game so far, but that just showed that nobody is safe with a 1 goal lead.
