Tbh, I think it's partly down to Linda Henry's performance.

Sometimes she says things that don't seem designed to be shouted, and yet she shouts.

It did make me laugh when they made her move rooms and she said "IT'S A GOOD JOB I LIKE YOU!" to Halfway and I was like wut, since when did you like him?

You are WRONG :nono: she gave him the deeds to all of the properties to SELL back to their original owners for the price they were sold for (assuming they still had the money) so that he could use the money to fund the million-pound experimental treatment for poor braindead Abi... Which obviously didn't go ahead. Jay decided he didn't want to buy back the car lot, therefore Max still owns the deed for it.

BUT, if he was just given the deeds to sell back and Fi just said he could use the money from all of the businesses then surely Weyland are still down as owners of the car lot because Jay didn't want it? But then Fi says Jay has them. Unless she's assuming that?

I'm sure they were basically making out that whoever physically had the bit of paper was the official owner... Like electronic records don't exist :think:. But I suppose for the latter part, she doesn't know that Jay didn't want it back and that Max has just kept it for himself? He definitely SOLD one of Ian's businesses back to him, he didn't just hand it over. But... Fi made the Carters buy back the pub, so it doesn't seem like she was just gifting them back.

Maybe she thinks Max did sell them all back and used the money for Abi and he's not told her that he's actually kept one (plus presumably a fair bit of cash...)
