Linda's maternity leave the Christmas plot with Ronnie and Roxy getting the New Year plot?

Whilst poor Coker's, Babe and Claudette get random mid-October exits? :bawling:

Yeah the 'oh new producer there's gonna be a blood bath' is only popular because of the mass axings that used to happen but in recent years (besides DTC) I swear there's only been 1 or 2 axings. Like Kate Oates went to Corrie and got rid of no one. Same with the Hollyoaks producer who went to Emmerdale. This producer is getting rid of everyone.

A comeuppance like Stacey getting 12 weeks in prison for cold blooded murder?

lmfao @ Carol saying she left because she wanted to broaden her acting capabilities, and then wanting to come back because she couldn't get any work :p

At least she had a long punishment and it wasn't repetitive.

Cal. 18-09-2016 01:18 PM

Yeah I've never understood what soap actors do once they quit for 'new roles'. Like the pay will be nowhere near as good anywhere else. If they're lucky they do the rounds on the BBC/ITV crime dramas but that's about it...

Not them leaving on my birthday? :fist:

I swear the Cokers better get a happy ending.

More than 5 mins what babe gets so it is long :hee:

Ashley. 18-09-2016 01:20 PM

I reckon the new producer wants to rewind the show back to the 1990s/Early 2000s, just judging by the emphasis on the older characters these past few weeks.

Ross. 18-09-2016 01:20 PM

But no, Stacey's isn't comparable because she served some time and actually recognises her actions were wrong unlike Babe

I think a lot of actors/actresses just don't want to be typecast, but then a lot of actors on soap aren't really good enough to do anything else so they're content to stay forever (or they come back) :shame:

Marsh. 18-09-2016 01:20 PM

Well I hope we have more of a mix of the cast soon.

The show does feel like "Mitchell Show" one week, "Random Background Characters Filling In Whilst Our Main Cast Have a Break" the next week, "Carter Show" the week after that.

I hope we have more of an overlap between stories.

Tbf soap actors tend to only get paid per appearance. If they're in the middle of a big story then that's all fine and dandy but if you're invisible for months on end then you need to try and get money from somewhere. That's why Sunita from Corrie left because she didn't get an appearance for about four months :joker:

That's good. We don't want all the characters the same. :hee:

He axed the Cokers though :worry:

Ross. 18-09-2016 01:22 PM

Shut up Marsh love you have tragic opinions!

Braden 18-09-2016 01:22 PM

Sunita  She deserved better.

Didn't she get axed from Loose Women literally weeks after she was confirmed to be a regular panelist? She got her own mug but then suddenly disappeared.

Old characters as in long-termers she means. The Coker's are newer in comparison. :smug:

This producer will forever be hated for axing the Coker's, the same way one of the old producers is still hated on DS for killing Cindy and Tiffany off in the 90s.
