Eden Lake. The second time i've seen it.
It is seriously disturbing but a tense and very original horror/thriller. 9/10 |
Rise of the Planet of the Apes 8/10
Best of all the Apes movies including original I think Insidious 7/10 Decent Horror from makers of Saw Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 9/10 The 90s classic - man i love bein a turtle  |
Case 39 7.5/10
It was more of a thriller than horror but i really liked it and jodelle ferland always plays the freaky child really well :S |
Bad Teacher
I loved it, JT was really good. |
Edward Scissorhands. It's an old favourite of mine.
|
Up - Loved it. A heartwarming and funny film.
9/10 |
Tequila Sunrise - 6.5/10
Quite a good film but the story isn't that interesting. Mel Gibson and Kurt Russell are good in it though. |
Mr Poppers Penguins :D
was cute! |
Avatar 3-D
On Sky3-D Spiffing. |
The Lost Weekend - Great, harrowing, heartwarming story about a writer dealing with alcoholism with typical awesome 40's performances. Reminded me that I ought to watch more classic B&Ws.
Akira - Twisted, iconic anime feature. It takes awhile to get going but once it does it never stops. The last half hour is the most twisted half hour of anything I have ever seen. One to put on the list even if your not into anime. 28 Weeks Later - I think I like this more than 28 Days Later. It's a much more gritty horror film and didn't lose my interest in the third act like Danny Boyle's film did. Nobody does intense better than Robert Carlyle. And his daughter is well fit in it. |

I'm going to have to check that out, now.

Where the Buffalo Roam. 9/10 based on the book by Hunter S. Thompson, he's portrayed by Bill Murray and the scene with Nixon is absolute movie gold.
|
Incidious - it made me jump a couple of times 7/10

I saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes on Friday and then Final Destination 5 last night. Both great films that scared the ****** out of me and weirdly both had the Golden Gate Bridge.
Not a big fan of the Planet of the Apes franchise tbh, seen the original, 2 of its sequels and then Tim Burton remake and wasn't expecting much from this one but it was pretty good. And I'm now sh!t-scared of chimps. I still love orang-utans though. The plot seemed to pace well and I was constantly interested bt there was one cringey moment that caused everyne in the cinema to laugh... Spoiler: Always been a fan of the Final Destination series but thought 3 and 4 were dumb. FD5 was amazing though. It really was darker again, had an interesting shift from the others, the death scenes were intense, the 3D was worth watching and the twist at the end was orgasmic. I did not predict that one. |
The Hills Have Eyes - 6/10
The movie didn't really scare me, but it was extremely disturbing and gruesome and the storyline wasn't that bad. |
