Actually I could probably do a season ranking based on lip syncs alon-oh who am I kidding of course I will

6 (three letters: TKB)
2 (Shangela, Sahara, Raven, Morgan, Tatianna, Jujubee, nuff said)
5 (mostly classics [Oops I Did It Again and Party in the USA never happened, right?] which has to count for something)

3 (pros: MacArthur Park [which I still don't think was as one-sided as history remembers it but that's for another ranking], Straight Up / cons: the words "drag is not a contact sport" come to mind)
8 ("IIIIIII'M NOT GOING" *beads go everywhere, nearly killing Thorgy Thor in the process* is iconic. Props for actually doing a good lip sync to a Blondie song for once, too)
AS2
7 (containing some great lip syncs [Twist of Fate, Break Free, LOVERGIRL], but also containing the Pearl Smash. Swings and roundabouts)

I was about to say the S6 ones weren't that great aside from TKB's... but Joslyn/Laganja, Dela/Darienne (part I) and April/Vivacious all bopped too.

I would venture that AS2 has been the worst for lipsyncs :shrug: just for obvious reasons of it not being that urgent for the queens really. I didn't even rate Tati/Alyssa that highly.

Yeah those rankings aren't really concrete or scientific and I'll probably have completely different opinions on them this time tomorrow

I think AS2's have been good from a technical point of view (is that even a thing when it concerns drag queens miming to pop songs? idk) but they're missing any sort of urgency or tension. Thinking about it, I'd probably put them beneath 7 and maybe 4's because I'm easily influenced like that

(oh and Natural Woman had Kenya orbiting Latrice so, um... yeah)

4 is the best. imo. maybe its because it the first one that i watch whilst it was airing.

3>4>5>6>2>7>1>8

I just like Natural Woman because you had the gay ginger from Modern Family and Jennifer Love Hewitt just visibly pitying Kenya Michaels and wondering why on earth she'd even come back <3

Yeah, I can definitely see its... appeal? (Santino's look of disgust at Kenya throwing her wig away almost makes me like Santino. But not quite)

I might do a full, hopefully somewhat better-informed ranking of all the lip syncs in herstory evah if I ever end up with an embarrassing amount of spare time

Finally watched the episode and I understand the outrage tbh, Tati shouldn't have been B2. Detox's was terrible and no one but Michelle was living for it. Also think Tati's was marginally better than Alyssa's in terms of selling the product but Alyssa could just queef and everyone would gag :idc:

Katya won the challenge hands down. But Alaska won the lipsync hands down </3 and come thru Graham Norton for hating Detox's product!

My ranking from week 1 really hasn't changed much at all throughout the season except Detox>Ginger
