I only dip into Emmerdale now and again and even I'm sick of Chas and Aaron. :worry:

I don't really know much about Cindy Beale but I get the impression DTC had the choice whether to bring back Kathy or Cindy from the dead and he chose Kathy but I have a feeling despite not really knowing much that he should have brought back Cindy. Cindy seems to have a lot more mileage from what I've seen and under all the hype Kathy is just a normal housewife.

That's what Kathy always was, a really normal regular character.

Which is why a "Faked her own death" story really didn't fit her.

It would be more difficult for Cindy to fake hers though. She died during childbirth in prison.

I'd love to see the DS episode discussion thread for the live episode where Kathy returned.

Didn't Michelle Collins get sacked because she was unreliable and unresponsive to what the producers needed from her? They were going to bring her back and she just ignored all contact from them. That worked out well for her :hehe:

Yeah, I think they wanted to do a couple of scenes with her to leave her alive off screen but she kept not showing up for meetings etc so he said just kill her. :omgno:

I wonder how Kathy's boys are doing in Hollyoaks. She seems to not care much about them anymore.

She didn't show up when like half of them died last year so I don't think she cares no.

It's such a mess that the Hollyoaks producer created a whole family for her to play Kathy Beale again and then she left like 6 months later

And the reason she gave was that she wanted more leisure/family time when she joined another soap straight after :joker:

The crossover was so quick I wouldn't be surprised if she quit Hollyoaks purely to rejoin Eastenders after having a phone call from DTC.

Just reading DS, forgot Cora was returning. Will she be axed too? SOC seems to hate the newer old characters.

Maybe Cora will be tied into Babe's exit
