I thought hard about where to make my 10k post. Then I saw this thread pop up on the latest threads list - perfect. Definitely smiling.

Good deeds...my sister found a purse at her work today but it didn't have any contact details in it so she facebooked the name on this ladies credit card and it came up with her facebook..low and behold there was a status about losing her purse and how distraught she was..so she messaged her about it and how they put it in the safe at her work and how she can pick it up tommorow..

much better than being a dick and keeping the purse... this ''finders keepers'' stuff is stupid idiotic ****e..and a better feeling knowing you've made someone elses day rather than spending the money yourself

Great story tell your sis shes now the personal hero of The Truth:wavey:
Maybe we should all pay it forward as in the book and the movie...i.e. 1 person does a good deed for you then you do 3 good deeds that help someone else!

Very good to hear Nathan, what a truely good person would do

the truth 20-11-2012 07:45 PM

I agree though its the little kindnesses, that little bit of help when you really need it, that tells you that a person really cares , dare I say loves you. Im not talking money, sex, gifts, just a message of support or an offer to get your milk if your car breaks down or someone you can ring after midnight....these people are worth their weight in gold

Don't you feel awkward doing good deeds all the time though?

And to Nathan well done to your Sister, I probably would've just left it where it was lol.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 20-11-2012 10:15 PM

Well done Nathan's sis. :D

Novo 20-11-2012 10:21 PM

But come on if there was like a few grand in the purse you'd have to keep it, if you lose it in the first place you obviously don't care enough to look after it, suppose if there was a few notes and nothing more then it would be worth giving it back

Ninastar 20-11-2012 10:24 PM

making a 4 month old baby smile at work today. very cute.

If there was a few grand in it even more reason to hand it in, and I don't get this bollocks about them not caring enough about it, **** happens, you could put your wallet down somewhere while doing something then forget about it in the spur of the moment, all your stuff gone, I bet you would feel gutted

Marc 20-11-2012 10:31 PM

If you lost your wallet Novo, and it had money in it. And you were silly for a few seconds of the day and it meant that you lost it.. you'd want somebody to hand it in :spin2:
