Did anyone watch the reserves during the week Pogba DESTROYED Ross 20mil Barkley

Pogba needs to be playing first team now only midfielder as good as him is Clev Pogba can play that holding Midfield role Fergie is so keen on

If he starts the dire duo of Fletch and Anderson 2moz i may paper cut myself to death

King Gizzard 04-11-2011 11:09 PM

Congratulations to Sir Alex on 25 years at United

bbfan1991 04-11-2011 11:32 PM

SAF is a legend, whether he is liked or hated he is the best manager IMO (although that debate will forever go on).

25 years is a great acheivement and it has shown the commitment, desire and man management at the club as a whole to ensure success on and off the pitch and it is not a surprise the players all like learning and playing for him.

SAF also has the ability to adapt to the new changes in football, despite being old school!

Legend killer 05-11-2011 04:32 PM

All round managing Fergie is defo the best but tactically he is quite poor tbh Mourinho is EASILY the best tactical manager i have seen

bbfan1991 07-11-2011 03:26 PM

So glad United won at the weekend on the anniversary of SAF 25th year of managing the club, average performance again in the league but at least we got the win vs Sunderland at Old Trafford via a Wes Brown OG (he is still a Red:D).

Mods may I ask the following picture goes on the front page of this thread?

Highly-rated PSV Eindhoven prospect Andreas Pereira has confirmed he will join Manchester United in the New Year.

Andreas Pereira visited Old Trafford
Pereira, 15, has represented Belgium at youth level and agreed a deal to move to Old Trafford in 2012, despite interest from other clubs in the Premier League and around Europe.

The Brazilian-born midfielder revealed that a one-on-one chat with United manager Sir Alex Ferguson played a key role in his decision.

"I knew that PSV had given me my chance, but Manchester United is obviously a great club," Pereira told VoetbalPrimeur. "Other British clubs were interested. I thought about it, but Manchester United is a dream club for me.

"I have been a few times to Manchester United to have a look. I got a tour and spoke with Sir Alex Ferguson. Being a 15-year-old and being able to talk with him is great!"

PSV signed Pereira from Belgian side Lommel United, after he moved to Belgium as a youngster. He is widely regarded as one of the finest players in his age group in Europe.

Pogba is stalling on contract talks with intrest coming from both Milan teams dont blame him tbh when he can't get any game time with the likes of Fletch keeping him out smh. I will tell you this now we let him go it will be the BIGGEST mistake Fergie has made for a long long time there is no midfielder Pogba's age as good as him

bbfan1991 10-11-2011 07:25 PM

Paul Pogba won't be going anywhere IMO as he sounds serious about eventually making it at United but it takes time and he is progressing.

Papers talking crap again saying that United would consider selling Nemanja Vidic to Real Madrid:joker:. Vida is an important player for us and SAF makes the footballing decisions, plus the player himself is happy so not going to happen!

Manchester United chief executive David Gill has underlined the requirement for Sir Alex Ferguson's replacement to be completely in tune with the values so prevalent at Old Trafford.

Ferguson celebrated 25 years in the United hotseat on Sunday and has shown no inclination to surrender his position so the search for a successor has yet to begin.

However, when it does, Gill has highlighted some non-negotiable requirements the new man must meet.

'It will be difficult to replace him - it's naive to say anything other than that,' Gill told MUTV. 'But we are a great club whose values go back in history to our heritage to the '50s and '60s and the last 25 years with Alex.

'To continue with that, the new manager needs to understand those values and the vision for the club and must buy into that.'

As he approaches his 70th birthday on New Year's Eve, no-one could accuse Ferguson of concentrating on his immediate priority of withstanding the challenge posed by Manchester City at the expense of United's future.

In Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley, Ferguson has integrated a quartet of young English players to his squad this season that could provide a platform for United over the next decade.

'The important point to make is the new manager, whenever that may be and whomever that may be, will be taking over a great, great club, in a great, great sport and Alex, in particular, will want to make sure he inherits a great squad,' said Gill.

'That's our goal - to make sure when the new manager comes in he does have a great squad to work with in terms of age and profile.'
The chances of Ferguson's replacement emulating the Scot's success - 12 Premier League titles and two European Cups - is remote, though. And Gill feels Ferguson's work goes far beyond that.

'Alex's legacy to United is to my mind very clear - delivering an unprecedented period of success in the Manchester United way,' he said.

'By that, I mean attractive football using young players - both homegrown and buying players when necessary like Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney, but actually developing our own players.

'That record is there for everyone to see and that legacy is very clear also.

'Within that, he's made sure he's cemented United's position as one of the top clubs in world football.

'We're very well respected clearly in this country and around the world. You only have to see our following there on tour in America and Asia, plus in Europe when you speak to any other club.

'United are rightly held in very high esteem down in no small measure to what Alex has achieved in the last 25 years.'

Ravel Morisson the best English Prospect since Rooney and he is being kept out of our team by garbage like Fletch , Carrick etc. The guy is just like Iniesta

bbfan1991 18-11-2011 11:39 PM

Ravel is talented but there are still some question marks over his attitude..

Swansea away today. SAF confirmed that Tom Cleverley is out until Christmas and that Chris Smalling is still injured. Ashley Young will be back for United.

Sir Alex also confirmed that he has NO intention of selling Dimitar Berbatov and stresses he is still a part of his plans:).

Brother Leon 19-11-2011 12:51 AM

Swansea is going to be tricky I feel.

Saturday 17:15s must be the ****test kick off time possible imo. Puts you on a major downer for the night if you don't get the result.

Legend killer 25-11-2011 12:44 PM

I hate to say this but these injuries to our midfield could be a blessing in disguise . Fergie may have no option but to play pogba and the best English player since rooney in Ravel. We might even get to see pettruci and keane ASWell

Disappointed United dropped points vs Newcastle, few decisions went against us.. I thought United got all the decisions in our favour at Old Trafford? NOT!

It is up to SAF, his team and the players to assess what is going wrong for us at the moment.

Freyers for first team left back looks like an 07-08 vintage of Paddy

bbfan1991 01-12-2011 11:34 AM

Disappointed United lost, congratulations to Crystal Palace for their last gasp win.

In a way being out of the Carling Cup is a few games off the schedule list for United, as 3 other trophies are more important to fight for...

I was out for a few hours last night too so missed the match:joker:.

bbfan1991 01-12-2011 11:56 AM

Villa next at VP then, we should have lost last time at Villa Park but somehow managed to claw back a draw... They terrorised United on the wings and generally were the better side but luck was on our side that day!

I hope this time is different:p.
