Ratings for yesterday?

MTVN 19-06-2013 09:53 AM

Big Brother levelled at 1.33m (7.9%) at 10pm, while Rylan Clark's Bit on the Side grabbed 524k (6.0%) at 11pm

Meh, BOTS ratings are pretty good though

I don't hope the ratings plummet at all.

I am loving this BB and just because they decided to make it a vote to evict does not make me want the show to be cancelled that's just petty (in my opinion).

The show worked on Channel 4 with the evict vote for years and even with the vote to save massive characters left early like Lydia, Chris, Paula in CBB, Jasmine in cbb aswell.

I think people are more inclined to pick up the phone when they hate someone to get them out than to save someone and seeing as last years series only broke even financially they do have to think of the cash to be fair.

This series has been brilliant so far and I love the house, the cast is brilliant, Emma is sex, theres a lot more coverage in newspapers and we have atleast got a lot more live feed back.

Ive picked up the phone to evict Dexter and I bet most of the people complaining about the decision wont vote ending in their fav housemate getting evicted.

Well said, Daniel.

That is excluding +1. Incl it is around 1.40m, but still lower than I wanted :(

We can only really hope for bigger officials. Like time shifts of around 500k.

jackc1806 19-06-2013 10:10 AM

I bet Mondays overnight was dented by Made in Chelsea and yesterday's dented by the Valleys - 16 to 24s were elsewhere.

JohnnyBB 19-06-2013 10:54 AM

it had stiff competition, the valleys was on mtv and thats a good show!

daniel-lewis-1985 19-06-2013 11:10 AM

Competetion with TOWIE tonight to.

Plus it was the series finale so more people would have been drawn into that last night.

Doesn't that get 200k viewers. I'd hardly call it stiff competition.

no but most of them 200k would watch bb, like myself..

thats probs around 150k of the bb ratings so does make a difference. i just chose to record the valleys

MTVN 19-06-2013 11:42 AM

According to wiki it got 680,000 a couple of weeks ago so might have got around the 700,000 mark with it being the finale

daniel-lewis-1985 19-06-2013 11:46 AM

Interesteing fact.

CSI beat BB last night :(

C'mon BB what are you up to?!?!

Black Dagger 19-06-2013 11:48 AM

People tuning out because of their silly VTE decision. :pipe:

I was actually hyped and championing this series until they decided that evicting good house-mates is the way forward.

I'm pretty sure its not the bb producers fault. People really never stop complaining. We voted (well i didnt vote) but the public voted for the people up for a eviction and even if the normal noms format took place, the same people would still be up imo, or you could argue Jemima would be in it. So this weeks eviction whether VTE or VTS would be the exact same because either way a big character would go out anyway.

Jesus mon.

it just depend how the use it, its good in some ways like aaron would have neve won if it was vte but they need to avoid what happened in bb11 when sam pepper, jj and corin got evicted just before the final. could have been an epic final if the final 4 was sam pepper, corin, josie and jj

JohnnyBB 19-06-2013 12:05 PM

i do know mtv has moved platforms from music channel section to being by itv 2 and comedy central, they should have put big brother on at 9pm and moved csi to 10pm there not giveing there own show priorities.

Not if we were voting to save those not nommed.

Meh whatever, they can kill their series off.

BB had a bigger share, 200k watched CSI on +1 and BB brings in more valuable 16-24s than CSI

Gstar 19-06-2013 12:13 PM

CSI is actually a good show

*mazedsalv** 19-06-2013 12:23 PM

We still don't know the bloody +1 rating but I will assume that last night got 1.41m incl +1. The 10pm is the thing that is pushing it down. They should have it on at 9pm and I have always said it. (only at 10pm during sporting events and maybe on Wednesday because of The Apprentice).

And again, officials will add a fair bit, so last nights 1.4m will be close to 1.9m officially. More people record BB now.

I think on Friday the eviction will go near 2 million overnight

iRyan 19-06-2013 03:21 PM

We have to remember, in this day and age a very large portion of people record tv shows or watch them online. BB is a show on every single night for an extended period of time, it's a large commitment to make as a viewer and those who watch the show most likely won't be able to tune in every single night - so ratings aren't going to be strong as shows that only air once a week.
