Because I apparently only find people who do "ballet moves" entertaining and I "expect" 74 year olds to do the same.. which is absolute nonsense.

John McCririck is one of my favourite CBB HMs... and he's 70+. Jackie Stallone, 90+. Ron 70+ and is doing nothing exciting......

mr rochester 28-08-2013 09:42 PM

Maybe we should discuss Danielle who was evicted tonight...

I hoped they would put her in the safe house to continue winding the HM's up like she did with the food ordering...

Jemal 28-08-2013 09:42 PM

Ah sigh.. Alright here's something you don't hear on forums. Im sorry Reece.

If he's a racist for ONCE saying that word then black rappers who constantly call eachother that word are just as bad.

Hang on a minute, when have I 'banged on about him saying the n word'? Actually before this post I think I may have only ever mentioned it once before on this forum...so please don't put words into my mouth.

I was actually willing to give him a chance (as I am all the housemates) upon entering and having had no idea who he was and only learning of the incident that destroyed his career a week ago I, like you, was of the opinion (and often am in these cases) that people deserve second chances and they shouldn't be labelled for their entire life because of one incident.

However, he made a very questionable comment about relating wearing headscarves to terrorism  so forgive me and others for linking this incident with his previous history and the fact that he clearly stated to Bruce 'I'm having to keep a lid on a lot of things in here' also whilst not really seeming to engage in many conversations in the house, instead just going 'hmm...yeah, yeah, hmm...', so I mean it's natural for me to be intrigued as to what exactly he's 'keeping a lid on' and be worried about the potential content judging by his history and the fact that he even made a comment of that calibre in the house knowing full well his career was destroyed for stuff like that.

Part of me thinks he needs to leave for his own sake because I feel quite sorry for him that I think he wants to obviously clear his name but if he's going to make remarks like that it's not going to happen and that makes me (strangely) feel bad for him in a way.

But then the other part just thinks well :conf: I'm sorry but what exactly about Lauren is 'intriguing'? You put two and two together 'I'm having to keep a lid on things in here' and it seems perfectly reasonable for myself and others to question whether his inner thoughts are ones that are, as I said...um...outdated...

No but I expect him to you know, actually contribute to the show...

The fact that he's cutthroat and doesn't give a sh*t and is being openly critical and is pissing some people off is what makes him a good housemate, that leads to the potential for drama which is of course miles better than watching Ron go 'hmm...yeah, yeah'

I think all HM's should be judged from what they do in the house, but with celebrities it's a bit tougher.

I think you have a fair point but I'm just being really honest in saying I won't take the time to look up about his career, I've heard he was good with his footballing career and made a racist comment and that's about it. I don't think your comment was really directed my way anyway because I didn't say anything about his comments :)

10.41pm: Uh oh! Ron and Lauren are having it out in the kitchen. She's not happy

But that doesn't mean Ron dislikes Lauren because of the trans gender issue, we don't even know Ron dislikes Lauren at all.

He might not get the whole trans gendered thing, but then im 39 and I don't get it either TBH...but that hardly makes him transphobic or that he wanted to nominate Lauren for those reasons.

Being old and not modern isn't a crime. :joker:

but that is all opinion. In my opinion he has contributed more than anyone else, you would obviously disagree but neither of us are wrong or right. Everyone is entertained differently
