i've been rewatching so many episodes :flutter:

Peter Capaldi has made me love the show again tbh, I lost hope in it during season 5/6 :worry:

Not Smith-era shade. :nono:

To be honest, as much as I like Capaldi, I didn't love Series 8 (but some episodes were brilliant). I just hope Series 9 as a whole grabs me more.

I want to rewatch from Series 5 sometime actually, might do that closer to Series 9 starting. :flutter:

in the mood to start my classics rematch again. :worry:

Oh no, I like him, don't get me wrong. It's just the storylines are over complicated, imo :worry:

I think I enjoyed every story from last season which would have been unheard of during the Smith era (but I loved the Astronaut/River storyline)

I loved Into the Dalek, Time Heist, Mummy on the Orient Express, Flatline and Dark Water. I also liked Deep Breath. :)

Kill the Moon was decent but anticlimactic after the hype. Robots of Sherwood, Listen, The Caretaker, In the Forest of the Night and Death in Heaven really underwhelmed me (especially Listen and Death in Heaven, which I was massively excited for).

Pete. 19-07-2015 09:05 PM

I don't remember Listen lmao

Jay. 19-07-2015 09:06 PM

flatline, kill the moon and time heist were iconic af tbh

Jay. 19-07-2015 09:07 PM

it's weird, i haven't been excited to watch the show in ages, now i can't wait until september lmao

It was that episode about nightmares or fears or something, I never really got it.

Like, I don't even think there was an actual plot.

I can't believe how close it is, considering. It doesn't feel like that long ago that the Christmas episode was over and we had a 9-month wait, now it's a couple of months away. :amazed:

Oh I quite liked the dreams one from what I remember.

Can we find a way to bring back Donna without her dying please. :flutter:

Omg aren't there loads?

Pete. 19-07-2015 09:13 PM

I still maintain that Colin Baker's era is criminally underrated and Trial of a Time Lord was an amazing saga

Jay. 19-07-2015 09:15 PM

i haven't watched any old episodes tbh i wouldn't know where to start :worry:

Making a return along with Jackie Tyler?

Lostie! 19-07-2015 09:16 PM

I've not really seen any classic episodes in full, but I've seen loads of clips over the years.

Actually, the first I remember seeing was Snakedance (with Martin Clunes) back when the classic episodes used to come on TV on TV Gold or whatever on Saturday mornings (before the 2005 revival I think).

I was only young and this scene scared the **** out of me (around 50 seconds onwards):

I've seen a few episodes from his era and really enjoyed them, you've just reminded me about Queen Sarah Jane. :flutter:

I started off companion by companion. Like I first i watched tegan's time with the doctor then moved on to sarah jane but tom baker was so fabulous I watched till the end of his time (which happens to be the start to tegans time).
The first series would be a good place to start but theres so many missing stories and it can get annoying.

New Trailer!

I don't even know what to say other than that it's amazing! I'm glad a lot of the footage is new aswell and they didn't just release a slightly different version of the first trailer. I'm so hyped for this series after this :cheer2:
