I don't mean to be morbid, but imagine what it's like to have to take your last breath looking at those evil eyes... *shiver*

Ok heres some more informaiton about the second man to be arrested

Murder probe arrest 'significant'
A second man has been arrested over the murders of five prostitutes in Ipswich in a move police described as "significant".The 48-year-old was arrested at his home in the Suffolk town at around 5am on suspicion of murdering all five women. Detectives are still questioning a 37-year-old man arrested at his home in nearby Trimley St Martin early on Monday.
Detective Chief Superintendent Stewart Gull said at a news conference: "The 48-year-old man was arrested at his home address in Ipswich at approximately 5am this morning. He has been arrested on suspicion of murdering all five women. The man is currently in custody at a police station in Suffolk, where he will be questioned about the deaths later today. Police will not be naming the police station where the man is being held." A police source described the latest arrest as "significant".
The naked bodies of the five prostitutes were found near villages south of Ipswich during a 10-day period earlier this month. Gemma Adams, 25, was found in a stream at Hintlesham on December 2, Tania Nicol, 19, was discovered in the same stream at Copdock on December 8, Anneli Alderton, 24, was found in woods at Nacton on December 10, and Paula Clennell, 24, and Annette Nicholls, 29, were found in woods at Levington on December 12.

yeah ive been watching the news they have a tent up now aswell

Lil-Lindz 19-12-2006 03:20 PM

Yea, i hope they find the right guy

Pipergun 19-12-2006 03:37 PM

I'm not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but I object to the way that they're often referred to in newspapers, and even on the BBC news as "the prostitutes".

How degrading is that? They're people too, yes they worked as prostitutes, but they have lives outside of that! It angers me, especially when the BBC is supposed to remain 'impartial' that they insult the grieving families simply to sensationalise the news item and to provoke interest.

Might sound like a bit of a rant, but it makes me so angry!

Bells 19-12-2006 03:39 PM

In addition to that the greater proportion of them came from good backgrounds themselves, but went through difficulties i.e. drugs etc. which does happen to young people/people in general in fact. As a result they ended up on the streets, and although I'm not condoning it, I agree that they shouldn't be looked down upon when they've had difficult lives themselves already, (resulting in death and everything!)

Lil-Lindz 19-12-2006 03:44 PM

I agree with that, yes there were all prostitutes but is it neccisary to just regard them as the 5 prostitutes who were murdered in ipswich cause they were people who had probably had a tought life which forced them to resort to drugs and prostitution
Its also unfair on the grieving familes, cause thats all they need at this difficult time

Pipergun 19-12-2006 03:47 PM

What really angers me is when mates make little comments like: "Oh, they were sluts... we're better off without them!"

I mean... :mad::mad::mad: !!

Lil-Lindz 19-12-2006 03:48 PM

Omg i havemnt heard anyone say that but in no way did they deserve it
What about their friends and family it will affect them and the world itsnt a better place without them
These women have been driven to the edge and people just sterotype them
I hate when people do that

That is really extreme, haven't heard that said myself. It's just so inconsiderate. You should tell them off! Or tell them I told them off, even though they have no idea who I am, but that's not the point. :nono:

Pipergun 19-12-2006 03:54 PM

I will do, lool! And trust me, I already have done too!

I'm probably a bit slow, but just found out the 3rd victim... was her name Aneli? was 3 months pregnant...

Bells 19-12-2006 03:54 PM

I know, it's TERRIBLE! They found out in the post-mortem.
I was soo upset when I heard that.

Lil-Lindz 19-12-2006 03:55 PM

I know when I heard that I was so sad

andybigbro 19-12-2006 06:28 PM

Lil-Lindz 19-12-2006 06:37 PM

Man charged over Suffolk murders

A 48-year-old man has been charged with murdering five women whose bodies were found in countryside near Ipswich.
Stephen Wright was arrested on Tuesday morning at his home in the London Road area of the town.

He has been charged with murdering prostitutes Gemma Adams, 25, Anneli Alderton, 24, Tania Nicol, 19, Paula Clennell, 24, and Annette Nicholls, 29.

Police said the first man arrested Tom Stephens, 37, has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

'Ongoing investigations'

Detectives said Mr Wright would appear before magistrates in Ipswich on Friday morning.

Det Ch Supt Stewart Gull said: "You will be aware that on Monday 18 December, as part of our investigation into the murders of five women in the Ipswich area, we arrested a suspect at his home address in Trimley.

"The next day, Tuesday 19 December, a second suspect was arrested in Ipswich.

"There have been significant ongoing inquiries and interviews during the period that these men have been in custody.

"As a result of these inquiries, the 37-year-old man from Trimley was this evening released on police bail pending further inquiries. Police will not name this man at this stage.

"The second man, Stephen Wright, from Ipswich, has been charged with the murder of all five women."

OMG!

Bells 21-12-2006 09:55 PM

Yeah, just heard that on the news.
Shocking!

Lauren 21-12-2006 10:23 PM

Well, hopefully this means there won't be a sixth victim

Red Moon 21-12-2006 10:53 PM

Looks like the BBC will have egg on their faces for broadcasting that interview with the other one. It could cost us all a packet when he sues the BBC.

The price of having a news hungry audience I guess.

Tanser_Man 22-12-2006 10:04 AM

Any news from his court case today?
