I remember talking about it in another thread but a lot of it really depends on the circumstances that lead up to the win. Narrative definitely does matter! I loved Rachel's win because it closed out one of the most complete story arcs for a winner, overcoming all her haters and detractors by brushing the dirt off her shoulder and being the nice and normal girl she is. An Insider absolutely had to win BB13 so I'll take Luke A as a stand in for Deana. You get the idea.
On the other hand, even though I don't really dislike Kate that much, I kinda hate her as a winner because every loved to criticize Timgod for being boring yet Kate was championed even though she was a tumbleweed that just rolled through the BB3 house. In BB12 I was rooting for and Alex or Tom win in vain because the series was dreadful and they weren't married to any of the major plot points that made it so awful. So yeah, I don't think there's a clear answer as to what makes a good winner every single time because so much of it depends on the circumstances surrounding a series and how it plays out. |
Sophie and rachel will always be my favourite winners,
Sophie wasn't your typical winner, like she had big boobs and blonde hair(they normally get evicted) and it was amazing how no one had her down as a winner on day 1, it was only predicable that she would win near the end of the series. |
