The worrying thing now is where bbuk goes from here.....?
|
It's very surreal to think that just last year, Winter CBB was in the 2.6 mil. range, seems like ages ago when comparing it to the 1.4 mil. we get now. Even India's interview got 1.1 mil. viewers which is really bad.

So I think people may want to watch bbuk bc most of the main problems have been fixed (outside contact, **** stirring tasks etc), but they just need a great cast to deliver. Polar opposites would be a good idea for that, eg say a gay person and a homophobic person in the house together, or a Muslim/refugee with a person that doesn’t think Britain should get involved because “its not our problem” |

I do agree that word of mouth could help for bbuk. If they REALLY pulled it out the bag, had a solid cast with this stripped back format etc then maybe we could see BB19 overtake CBB21 in ratings... Who knows  |
A cast similar to BB5 or BB7 would be good, controversial people who might clash brought together in one house
They have to be normal-ish like those series’ housemates though, no former TV appearances and a range of ages |
The viewers are so PC that a cast like BB5-7 wouldn't work nowadays.
Imagine if someone like Ahmed, who openly admitted he doesn't like gay people in his VT went into the house in 2018. There would be an outcry on social media to the point they're ejected on Day 3. |

Remember Winston getting evicted on Day 4 and getting dragged by the house, Emma and the crowd for saying the stuff the producers put him in the house for :skull:

AHHH his eviction :laugh2:
Christopher: 'All my life I've been fighting being gay and homophobic' :laugh2: |

Honestly not even surprised at that second show figure. John and Maggie aren't exactly massive characters so who's going to bother tuning in for half an hour after the highlights when you can just find out on social media.

Tbf Will and Grace is killing CBB (or at least adding to the trouble) because people either aren't keeping TV on so they don't have to suffer through W&G or are forgetting the second episode is on. They need to stop splitting Shows.
Now if they chose to make CBB an Hour and a half Show all in one or even moved it to 8:30 like last year then CBB would take less of a ratings hit and Will and Grace could still get Show. But at the moment it's working Against C5 because CBB is giving Will and Grace viewers but they're not sticking around to finish CBB. And they should be protecting their original shoes such as CBB other than marketing for an American Sitcom that would be axed from C5 soon enough without the constant CBB promo and ratings boosts. |
Like the sketches they do when the cast of W&G talk to Emma are pointless and annoying.
|
It's still rating terribly, regardless of the split show.
1m for a January CBB is diabolical. |
CBB got 3 million on Saturdays 2/3 years ago. Tonight it’s airing twice and it’ll still be lucky to get 1 million
|
CBB21: 1.8 million officially
BB19: 900k officially CBB22: 1.5 million |
It'll be interesting to see how BB19 does considering it's getting moved to late summer and will have no LI clash (presumably since applications close really late).
