I hope I get to do the Argentine Tango, I’ve got the perfect song for it :dazzler:

The scores I'm not bothered about, it's the comments, trying to tell me that my song doesn't fit the dance, when I know it does, because I put the time and effort in to make sure it does.

Exactly, I was taking it seriously, but now I won't be.

My original aim was to do my best and win, that's my competive nature, but now I'll treat it as a mess around, where my aim won't be to win.

Yes, I put in hours of effort.

You have to allow for personal interpretation, so much for fun Alf

You only got 2 comments as I didn't require every judge to comment on every dance

I loved your choice Alf. It's up to you if you take it seriously or not but I appreciate when people put in effort which everyone did this week(even Morgan, Gemma Collins?!)

Great, we have judges who don't understand the dances.

How was that too slow for a quickstep? It was quickstep music, just look how quick and brilliant the pianist is.

If I get through, I'll just be plain, boring and predictable from now on, I won't even choose songs to fit the style of dance.

I loved yours!

I googled 'Contemporary Tango music' and it was the first that came up. These judges dont know what they're on about.

Thats also a reason to mark you down if you just pick a safe choice :hehe:

It wasnt a safe choice, had you heard of that song before? A safe choice would have the been the type of music in the vid I posted of Vincent and Flavia. This proves my point TBH

It may have fitted a tango but your dance was an argentine tango which is pretty different. I'll post an example just for anyone else getting mixed up...

Argentine Tango

I disagree the accents are the same in both dances.

GiRTh 10-05-2019 06:51 PM

Go thru all the Argentine Tangos over the years. They are almost always classical Tango type music. I'll post a few if you like

Quickly losing faith in the judges.

Strictly Jake 10-05-2019 06:54 PM

I liked your song anyway I imagine maybe a slightly different arrangement would have worked but I still liked it

Beso 10-05-2019 06:55 PM
